What are the simptoms of a dual pickup coil grounding or going bad!

Q: i have a dodge d150 with a 2.25 cube in engine i have replace the fuel system and tuned it and actuale had it runing like new but hours later it will start hickuping like some is chokeing it of it will do this going down the highway you dont have to restart it but it bucks and may even do it sitting in idle iv driving the thing all day after adjusting carb and setting the timeingthe truck has no oxegan sensor. any help welcome. .
