Q: hello everyone ive got an 06 dodge ram w/ cummins engine. when i start my truck and run it for the first few miles the headlights seem to dim a bit then go back to bright and dim slightly then bright etc. has anyone had any experience with this thanks. naughty... naughty... you didnt read your owners manual now did you mike .

here ya go try to play nice.bfg we all have probably had our fill of religion. but i think buddism is a fun deal. we have football this weekend. chargers and pats should be a hell of a game. pats are pretty much healthy vrabel doesnt show on the injury list but his back is a mess but hell probably play. i figure the pats to take it. for a few reasons experience coaching and they are a team. also we have gws speech. should we send more troops in what do ya think how about the thought running around that we may go into iran lot of talk about expanding army and marines. where is the manpower going to come from what are your thoughts on the draft being introduced .

sounds like your voltage regulator may be on the verge of crapping out. if i were you id do something about it real quick. -- ------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi ----cool toys formerly carolina watercraft works ----mack daddy trailers ----ice angels i was about 3 miles from home. the truck said check gauges. i saw that the battery gauge was over to 18 volts. everything seemed ok so i kept going as i only had a couple of miles to home. then i noticed my radar detector showing high voltage. i unplugged it. shut off the radio and lights. a half mile from home the battery gauge started going down to normal and the warning light went out. at home i checked all the cells in the battery. two were a little low. but the terminals had the green corrosion on them so i cleaned them up and used wd40 to oil them up and put them on. everything seems ok now but has anyone else had this problem .

i did buy a returned pack of opened bulbs from oreilly only because that was the last ones they had. for all i know that could be the problem maybe they are bad bulbs. ive had that problem before with off shore brands. if you can find a ge bulb give it a shot. i cant remember for certain ge may also be off shore these days cest la vie. .

being in the industry i see service contracts pay off on a daily basis. as i said i work in the industry and can fix most anything myself and get a substantial discount on parts but i still have service contracts on every vehicle that i own. the peace of mind in worth it to me. i respect your opinion and experience which in this case is much greater than mine. i never would have used an extended warranty on any product for which it was offered to me. maybe ive been lucky though i dont much believe in luck. what kind of vehicles to you work on that you see extended warranties pay off on a daily basis i want to avoid those manufactures. .

ill keep that in mind if i ever by another tv. imo they only sell you an extended warranty because the seller makes money from it. they compare the cost of all the claims against the money they collect from all the contracts and in the end they show a profit. its similar to insurance but without governing laws and an insurance commissionar to oversee those laws. i never buy extended warranties for any product. well you must have a bunch of money. unless of course you dont keep your products beyond the original warrenty. my samsung dlp widescreen 1 month out of warranty goes on its ass. guy comes out and says yup its broken gonna cost $1500 for a new whatever the hell it is looked impressive as hell. anyway in the past 6 months they have put 2 more into the set. do the math. oh the xtended warranty was $250.00. money well spent imo. to me a extended warranty is like insurance you hope you never need it but are damn glad you have it when you do. sure an extended warranty on something under $1000 id probably walk away from. but a truck that is worth in the area of 30-40+k. if i plan on keeping it beyond the makers warranty sure. one thing to remember the dc extended warranty does not have to be purchased at the time of sale i believe you can buy it any time during the initial warrenty although it may cost a little more. so you have some time to make up your mind. roy .
