the trucks i like fwiw. its the new durango that bugs me the one with the tapered tail. looks feminine and stupid. they should have heeded the saying if its not broke dont fix it! and taken a page from ramcharger days. old ramcharger days with the hardtop convertibility. sporty fun powerful versatile. roomy. very very roomy. nthdegree for every one that dislikes something there is at least one other that likes it. i personally think that the looks of the dodge are what makes the truck. it isnt a carbon copy of everything else. i love mine and wouldnt think of any other. dddd yeah. the grille is way too big. it looks guppy-ish. designers come up with an idea like the great big rig styling of the 94 to 02 trucks then it morphs into an ugly out of control caricature of itself. gm and chevys new trucks are ugly too with those slanted headlights shoulda left them alone the way they were. rmorgan7@austin.rr.com ron m. wrote in im a little disappointed in what the ram has evolved into as well. what is it with these vehicle designers seems like every time a good vehicle starts up they have to mess it up look what happened to the 240z. the gto. the camaro. i have a 2002 ram 1500 with the 4.7. its a great engine and has gobs of power. it pulls my 3800 lb. boat/trailer rig all day in 100 degree heat and the temp gauge doesnt budge. plus its very comfortable and roomy. it feels like a truck. the gas mileage is atrocious though. gas just pours through this engine. my average city/highway mileage is around 13 and i dont hot-rod. now the new rams have these.. gasp.. 20 inch wheels with low-profile tires. i guess thats ok if youre into the low-rider street truck image but that is not what many truckers want. its virtually impossible to buy good off-road or all-terrain tires that will fit those wheels. if you can find them theyre huge - like 6 inches bigger in diameter which opens a whole pandoras box of ugly problems. ron m. -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .
