Water Leak - AC?

From : smccorkl

Q: over the last week i have been getting a lot of water appearing on my passenger side floor of my 2003 dodge dakota. its that bad that i can scoop out a handful of water. i dont know where it is coming from but i suspect that maybe the ac condensor drain is clogged since the water has been apearing during periods of no rain. can anyone direct me where to look that i might find this clog .

my dak is going in tomorrow for the same thing. i found out that theres a tsb for the dak that tells the dealer to seal up the area in the firewall with waterproof sealant when a customer brings a truck in with the wet floor. this happened last year and they couldnt find anything i didnt know about the tsb back then. took it in a little while ago for a tranny fluid change and asked about the leak everything was dry at the time; they said it had to be wet for them to do anything. nows their big chance. theyd better replace the carpet too because it stinks to high hell now that its been soaked for the better part of a month. joe black 03 dakota 5.9 r/t cc calypso green 93 mustang 5.0 lx hatch with a few goodies dan sanders dansanders@attno spam.net wrote in im having the same problem... wet on the floor and no visible leaks. is this hose in the same area on a 96 1500 speedo cable core great idea flexible. i had same problem in my vintage toyota pu water on floor. found drain hose at bottom of a/c-heater box fell off kicked off when i stretched and my foot went behind the box! confirm hose is still connected. ken on sun 22 aug 2004 021147 gmt transurgeon nobulltrans@mchsi.dotcom wrote a piece of the center of a speedo cable works very well under the hood .. up on the firewall under the a/c evap coil area look for a hose or tube about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in diameter hanging down and open. poke a hanger or something up in it. appearing on my passenger side floor of my 2003 dodge dakota. its that bad that i can scoop out a handful of water. i dont know where it is coming from but i suspect that maybe the ac condensor drain is clogged since the water has been apearing during periods of no rain. can anyone direct me where to look that i might find this clog .

div> /div div/div div>in  more recent years no congressperson has felt the need to change it. after  all it is a great plan. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>for  all practical purposes their plan works like this /div div/div div> /div div/div div>when they retire  they continue  to draw the same pay until they die. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>except  it may increase from time to time for cost of living  adjustments.. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>for example former senator byrd and congressman white  and their wives may expect to draw $7800000.00 thats seven million  eight-hundred thousand dollars with their wives drawing $275000.00 during  the last years of their lives. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>this is calculated on an average life  span for each of those two  dignitaries. younger  dignitaries who  retire at an early age will receive much more during the rest of their  lives. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>their  cost for this excellent plan is $0.00.  nada....zilch.... /div div/div div> /div div/div div>this  little perk they voted for themselves is free to them.  you  and i pick up the tab for this plan.  the funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the general  funds; /div div/div div> /div div/div div>our  tax dollars at work! /div div/div div> /div div/div div>from  our own social security plan which you and i pay or have paid  into-every  payday until we retire which amount is matched by our  employer-we can  expect to get an average of $1000 per  month after  retirement. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>or in other words we  would have to collect our average of $1000 monthly benefits for  68 years and one 1 month to equal  senator! bill bradleys  benefits! /div div/div div> /div div/div div>social security  could be very good if only one small change were  made. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>that  change would be to   jerk  the golden fleece retirement plan from under the senators and congressmen.  put them into the social security plan with the rest of us  ..... then  sit back..... and  watch how fast they would fix it. /div div/div div> /div div/div div>if  enough people receive this maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and  maybe good changes will evolve. /div div/div div> /div div/div div> /div div/div div>how  many people can you send this  to better  yet..... how  many people will  you send this to /div div/div/fontfont face=arial size=2 divbr-- brif at first you dont succeed  youre not cut out for skydiving/div div /div/font/div/blockquote/body/html ------=nextpart000001f01c48c4c.eb5f21e0-- . 222 288430 2pbhk8fivapuu2@uni-berlin.de quick follow-up if anyones interested the tsb # for the dakota water-on-the-passgener-floor thing is 23-010-04. hth. joe black 03 dakota 5.9 r/t cc calypso green 93 mustang 5.0 lx hatch with a few goodies berlin.de my dak is going in tomorrow for the same thing. i found out that theres a tsb for the dak that tells the dealer to seal up the area in the firewall with waterproof sealant when a customer brings a truck in with the wet floor. this happened last year and they couldnt find anything i didnt know about the tsb back then. took it in a little while ago for a tranny fluid change and asked about the leak everything was dry at the time; they said it had to be wet for them to do anything. nows their big chance. theyd better replace the carpet too because it stinks to high hell now that its been soaked for the better part of a month. joe black 03 dakota 5.9 r/t cc calypso green 93 mustang 5.0 lx hatch with a few goodies dan sanders dansanders@attno spam.net wrote in im having the same problem... wet on the floor and no visible leaks. is this hose in the same area on a 96 1500 speedo cable core great idea flexible. i had same problem in my vintage toyota pu water on floor. found drain hose at bottom of a/c-heater box fell off kicked off when i stretched and my foot went behind the box! confirm hose is still connected. ken on sun 22 aug 2004 021147 gmt transurgeon nobulltrans@mchsi.dotcom wrote a piece of the center of a speedo cable works very well under the hood .. up on the firewall under the a/c evap coil area look for a hose or tube ab
