Watch out for CARMAX

Q: ok all you retired and non-retired old farts. bg any of you have or know where i can acquire a design software program specifically i am looking for something that will allow me to design decks/patios. as someone suggested some of the punch software packages comes with a deck designer but i think that it is more to show the outcome rather than design the plans. lowes and hs will do this for you for free and they also create a material list so that is another option. i had software that was intended for exactly this purpose but i for the life of me cant find it now. i did have a rather steep learning curve and i find it easier no to design decks in my head and draw them out if i need to get a permit so what exactly do you want to design and how do you think the software will help you -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

tbone wrote perhaps because they knew that the idiot would not vote for it with the conditions that they wanted but would sign just about anything that did not hold him directly responsible so they might as well make the best out of it and fix what they feel the reps were hurting. that is just hilarious!! you tell me the dems do have a backbone and took a hard stance on this...now you make excuses for them to require pork in order to sign it. real hardline stance the dems took there! lol lol and are you saying that the reps agree 100% on everything they do when they take a hard stance towards something as you claim the dems did. .

didnt this guy post something like this about a year ago the following is from a complaint i just register with the bbb. if youve had similar problems please contact me... i purchased a jaguar xkr from carmaxs davie store on 5/19/07. at which time i noticed several problems with the car that needed to be fixed. i reported the issues and left the car with them for repair. when i picked up the car i noticed that most of my issues were not addressed. while waiting for parts to arrive for the second round of repairs i took the car home for a few days. i found numerous other repair issues. i found 12 warrantee issues. when i brought the car back i gave the service manager sammy warnamally a printed list and copies of carmaxs certification form showing why these items were covered. i brought my car in on 6/1/07. when i got my car back 14 days later discovered 1 stereo wasnt fixed 2 second set of keys and valet key were not in yet 3 convertible cover was not ordered 4 trim around the door handle wasnt addressed 5 visor wasnt replaced because jaguar sent them the wrong part. 6 now the rear view mirror is loose as if the car suffered a heavy impact or was driven a long distance down a dirt road. caked on white mud is on the inside door panels. for 2 weeks i have been strung along by the service manager. when i asked to pick up my car until the parts arrived i was repeatedly told the seats were taken apart and awaiting a headrest motor from jaguar so i could not pick it up. jaguar parts department told me their delivery takes a week at most and parts can be overnighted for a nominal cost of $6 per item. i was lied to that my car was ready except for the headrest motors. i was also lied to about the extra set of keys being there. despite involvement of operations manager adam warner and general manager theresa my vehicle is still not fixed. i have lost many hours work suffered grief and have had to pay $606 payment for a car i was only able to drive a few days. i am releasing this to the media posting my story on internet consumer protection websites forums and groups to get together a class action lawsuit. i am registering a complaint with the attorney generals office and state attorneys office as i suspect foul play. the thing that is foul is your post. as it is impossible to trust carmax i want all further repairs to be done at alpine jaguar. i want jaguar to inspect the car for accident/abuse damage. compensation for my monthly payment to capital one for $606. my lost time and wages estimated at 6 hours at $150 an hour. grief and punitive damages will be addressed in another arena. you have a lot to learn about used car warranties. .

tbone wrote once again you prove your lack of knowledge. while this ay be one reason the more likely one is that the standard shift that comes with the bargin basement model is not strong enough to deal with the increased weight and hp of the upgraded models. not true at all. the calibers 5 speed is the same transmission found in the older stratus which had a v6 with the 5 speed and is much heavier. the cvts are what cant handle high torque very well. you act as if there is no demand at all for standard shifts but said yourself that you searched for one multiple times. the demand is there and it is not as great as it is for the automatics but it is not non-existant either. never said it was non-existant. i said the reason for dealers having so few is because of very low demand for them. its a select group that wants manuals and not an easy sale. there is a much greater chance of converting someone wanting a standard to an automatic then it is to convert someone wanting an automatic over to a standard shift so they stock mostely automatics. like i said. its market demand. too few people looking for manuals. sorry but no. sticks cost less and that equates to lower profits. why would you make it easier to lose money since just about all of the dealers tend to stock the more expensive options there is no motivation to stock the cheeper ones. if people really want one of those they can order it. lower end base model cars do not sell anywheres near at the rate of better equipped cars. look at the calibers. they are dodges low end entry level car. yet the base model ses will sit on the lot and be passed up for higher end sxts and r/ts. youre way off base thinking that dealers stock what they want to sell and people just buy whats available!! sorry tom dealers stock what people want to buy not the other way around. that is because that is exactly how it works. no tom it most certainly is not. dealers stock what people want. they dont shove what they want to sell onto the consumer. it does not work that way. good thing youre not in sales!! .
