did you check your diff. oil level that might be a good place to start. after that break out the service manual. but swapping the rear end might not solve the problem if its *not* the problem. .

can someone tell me where the connector is for an electric trailer brake controller on a 05 ram its under the dash. find the big junction block on the firewall - the one with all the wires running to it. check on top of the block or possibly tucked in behind it. its there. understand is in the om the last sentence regarding the location of the connector it states that the connector maybe optional on vehicles with the trailer prep package which i have. theyre trying to say that if you didnt have the trailer package you wont have this connector. since you have the trailer package you have this you do have the factory tow package and not some dealer-slapped-on receiver hitch right .

rob dobson wrote im looking at purchasing a used 2002 dakota but have a question about the models. ive found a 4dr slt 4x4 with 70000kms for $24995.00 canadian. it has the 4.7l v8. i also found a sport 4dr with 67000kms for $22995.00 canadian. it has the 3.9l v6 wich would be better on gas i would think. which was the better model the slt or the sport the 4.7l is a gas pig. yo will do better with the 6. however my 2002 4.7l dakota is a lemon. it has cost me more money and time in repairs in 50000 miles than my 1994 did in 150000 miles. i recommend you look for some other vehicle. jam .

beekeep wrote i asked my dad why he isnt keeping his little pickup truck in the garage. he said that he heard that they were catching on fire while being parked. he asked the dealer about it and they said that ford would be sending out letters concerning the problem. this was a few months ago. now you have to understand that dad is 85 and can get a little confused so i am not sure what to believe. have any of you here heard about such spontanious fires happening beekeep yeah saw one guy i forget the group had his burn to a crisp. something in the cruise control ford is recalling 2001- his was a 1999....... basically disconnect cruise control until he gets it to a dealer to have them check the cruise module ---------------------------------------- i am using the free version of spamfighter for private users. it has removed 257 spam emails to date. paying users do not have this message in their emails. try www.spamfighter.com for free now! .

no.spam@junk.mail.net wrote then go to http//www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/1.0.html and dump the micro$oft trash im presently using firefox and find it works very well. small clean and not cluttered with useless bells and whistles. actually it is a toss up as to which one i like best firefox or netscape 7.0 which i also like. i have always hated ie and avoid it at all times. firefox recommends a program called thunderbird as a mail and reader which im using now and again it is a good program except for its inability to let you click on a link when the reader is open and go directly to that location. instead you have to copy the link location and then paste it into firefox to get there. very annoying but doable. firefox had no problems with links itself. btw both of these programs are free from mozilla. jerry .

any drop off in performance otherwise engine has always been slightly underpowered and changing plugs etc. doesnt change situation. no idiot lights but trans definitely isnt shifting normally and the rpm fluctuations while suggestive the engine wants to up-shift arent what i consider normal for this truck feels more like trans slippage. i am the original owner and only driver. thanks in advance for any advice. mole . 222 298538 9gwxd.3408$yp.555@svr11..prodigy.com http//www.ariolic.com/activesmart/low-level-format.html -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

tom lawrence wrote sometimes i can smell antifreeze but there again i cannot find any leaks or drips underneath the truck each day where i park. has me stumped. any help appreciated. sometimes the thermostat housing leaks a little and the coolant evaporates from the heat of the engine before it drips on the ground. i had this happen with my 95 and i only noticed it because of the antifreeze smell. give a good hard look all around your engine looking for traces of coolant. a leak detection kit some dye black light and glasses can make this a lot easier - most auto parts places carry these. oh and its best to fill the overflow tank when the engines hot. as the engine cools it will want to suck in coolant from the overflow. -tom ill check out tomorrow for leaks again. when your thermostat housing leaked...what did you do about it just curious. its towards the top of the engine correct i didnt notice my recovery bottle leaking any. the times i filled up the bottle i also took off the radiator cap thinking that would do something different for it. ill try filling it again with the engine up to proper temp and leave the cap on. this truck has never had a drain/flush/fill. coolant looks clean but i understand its only good for a certain time. the thermostat and hoses are original also. truck has almost 40000. any more advice appreciated. thanks. .
