WANTED: Ram 2500 dsl, '94+, std, 4WD

Q: anyone know where i could get one of these for under $9k must be 94 or newer std trans 4wd diesel. dont need a big cab or anything fancy just a good worker. not having much luck searching the web; most sites wont let me narrow my search by fuel type. thanks curt .

minute metal shavings from the machining process involved in manufacturing more than anyone would believe. why would you want to let theses float around in your engine for 5000 miles you probably wont believe this but there are things called oil filters nowadays that filter and hold those minute metal shavings. at least the ones big enough to cause any problems. if i was really concerned about minute metal shavings id just change the oil filter since thats where any that are large enough to cause damage are hiding ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .

if i am pulling it in overdrive on the thruway or wherever going 65mph it feels like i have to almost floor it to get enough to keep a consistent speed sometimes. especially if there are some hills not steep. sometimes i have to punch it to get back to the speed i was kind of if i had cruise control on this is an enclosed trailer around 2000 pounds with sleds.i noticed if i turn the overdrive off it seems much smoother and no problems of course the engine is revving higher. i understand there is a lot of drag with enclosed trailers. but this isnt a lot of weight. when exactly are you supposed to turn the overdrive off i know in the city i should turn it off. can i turn it off at speeds that high will it make gas mileage a lot worse by the way it was very windy today. thanks a lot. .

from mopar440@aol.comnet.org redneck tookover hell date 1/29/2004 708 pm central standard time btw i dont think anyone involved in this deal is attempting to cheat anyone i think both of us are just naive. thanks again for the education robert maybe not but i cant imagine someone who knows they are selling their vehicle not going down to the lien/security/title holder and telling them so the title can be released at the appropriate time. i think ive got a handle of the problem i believe its a logistical issue. the lien holder is a credit union in nevada i dont know the name of it yet i should find out today. this credit union doesnt have a local presence in oregon. so the actual title is in nevada. when i thought he had clear title i was going to do a cash deal now that i know he doesnt and btw hes upside down on this loan surprise btdt. i think the best thing to do is assume his loan just let him pay it down to the purchase price and take it over. failing in that ill harass my local banker for a loan today. it should be a very busy day today. i leave sunday for oregon and then ive got all week next week to complete the sale. youre right this is a big hassle if id known going in well i wouldnt have gone in. now that ive bought non-refundable tickets and arranged for time off ill stick it out. thanks to everyone i appreciate every response ive received. robert good luck!! although i think i would eat the price of the tickets on this one. there is too much bs on this deal. curious whos plates and whos insurance are you transporting it under. be real careful on that issue. if you dont own it i doubt you can insure it. ya gotta get the title assigned to you before ya turn a wheel imho. roy and then on top of what roy said have you actually seen this truck besides pictures. it is more than common for people who are losing their vehicle due to finances or a repo to severely abuse or even purposely damage the vehicle because the are pissed off about losing it especially if they were well into the payments. in most cases a non-refundable ticket can be used at a different time with an additional service charge. you should call your airline and check it out. just make sure that you are still using your head and not your emotions on this purchase. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

unfortunately there dont seem to be too many trucks on the road that have them. i had a deal when i bought the truck that they would install the hooks for me. the body shop guy said never again it was such a pain! thank goodness the new ones can be ordered from the factory! i have a 2k ram and i want to install the factory tow hooks. i tried the local stealer and he said they were no longer available. it makes sense to me that they are no longer offered as a mopar kit but shouldnt they still be available. i would think they are available as crash parts or otherwise. can anyone help me out if they arent available from dodge where can i get them at thanks. .

are you sure that it ran dry or did the problem just happen to start when you almost out of fuel -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving these are all great ideas--ill give them a try. nobody thinks it has anything to do with running out of gas problem didnt start until i ran it dry. thanks everyone! corodbaman hi group-- hello! been away for while need some advice... my 82 w150 318 2 bbl 105k miles ran out of gas a while back. filled er with gas changed the fuel filter and went on my way. truck died after running 15 minutes. replaced the fuel pump check the line between the carb and the pump--was clean. truck will fire right up cold but dies still after 15 minutes. let it sit a while starts up dies after 15 minutes. any ideas where to start looking for the problem maybe someone pulled a prank and wired a timer in-line some where! thanks! cordobaman .

did you hear your whistling all the time or just when it was cold outside ramman wrote thanks for all the replies! ive sort of given up on help from the dealership. more info 2001 ram 1500 v8 5.9 42k miles. it happens when im in temperatures below 50. i can pull out of a parking lot hit the streets and once im up to about 40 mph it starts. it continues on to the highway and at highway speeds. engine hot or cold it doesnt matter. i thought of even a rfi noise since there have been reports http//www.realhamradio.com/dodgerampickup.htm but have eliminated that. it doesnt happen at idle or in park at any rpms. it does vary with throttle accelerator setting to the extent that it will stop for a moment if i slightly increase or decrease rpm. as for idler pulley water pump bearing fan clutch i dont think so. its definitely a whistle not a squeal or whine. the reason im thinking of the fuel pump is that it seems to be temperature related. it does sound like a vacuum problem and a vacuum noise but i cant relate that to temperature differences. this may or may not be what the problem is. but i had the same whistle on my 01 ram qc at highway speeds. drove me nuts until i found out that the rubber molding under the hood near the cowling vents near windshield wipers was coming off on one side. i super glued it back on and the whistle went away. i too thought it was coming from the engine. check to see if your rubber is loose. g bob -- that big fan is to cool the pilot. watch how much he sweats when it stops. -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .
