Vacuum Leak in Tranny?

Q: we drove into yuma today and filled up with gas. the light is still on. is there away to reset it you say a month or so does it just reset itself eventually thanks again doug loose or bad gas cap. check it and replace if necessary. its not anything to worry about it should go away on its on in a month or so. -- im out in the california desert for the winter and just got a obdii code of p0441. the site says evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow. is this something to sweat or is it just from all the rain we have been having. we were hooking up and moving our trailer to get water when it came on. any help will be greatly appreciated. doug .

i would have that alternator checked again by someone that will let you see the output or waveform. if it lost a winding or diode it may still be able to supply enough power to maintain the system voltage but the spiky output will not do your battery or electronics much good and it should be replaced. a fairly even ripple within the mv ac range as yofuri provided is normal but a waveform showing changes at a volt level with dropouts or uneven spikes is not. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving yofuri yofuri@oakharbor.net wrote does the trace resemble this http//www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/navy/hs-2.htm uh..no. it didnt look anything like helicopter anti-submarine squadrons as a matter of fact. i didnt get a trace to look at. just a printout with the message that there was a bad waveform and the alternator needed replacement. thanks for the insight. long tails or blanks indicate bad diodes or windings. there are three windings connected to six diodes. a fault in any winding or diode set will cost you 33.333% of your alternator output current. jim hall 520 exc 950 lc8 adventure turning money into noise... .

ive got a code p1491on my 2002 dodge pickup ram 1500 4.7l. did a little research on the code and found out it was a code for the rad fan control relay circuit. i plan to replace the relay myself thinking this will fix me up. i did a google search of the part numbers on the relay but could not find anything. did some looking on some auto parts sites and still nothing. is this something im going to have to go to the dealer for and what could this little jewel cost thanks!! .

hey! i figured someone should give you some kind of answer! first of all if the fluid is low top it up and see if that helps. if it isnt low or it doesnt help try draining the fluid and changing the filter. if that doesnt help it sounds like the problem lies inside the transmission. hope this helps... carl well...crap on ice guys. was just looking for an honest opinion as we cannot all be knowledgeable in everything. my mistake.... .
