Q: suddenly without warning roy exclaimed 4/12/2008 136 am on fri 11 apr 2008 195307 +0930 jmc nogroupsspam@nojodibody.homeus wrote need some help from someone in mt. were returning to the us soon and my spouse has purchased a jeep that he is picking up from a dealer in montana. we dont live in mt so we need to get temp tags so we can drive across the us and register the vehicle at our final destination. having a bit of trouble finding information on montana temporary registrations. it appears to be good for 40 days. can some one confirm this or provide me with a more accurate time if this is wrong thanks! jodi to stay on topic yes the dakota is being shipped back to the us after its multi-year adventure overseas. assuming of course that it doesnt end up in the ocean someplace on its way home... jmc im sure montana has transit plates most states do. what you want to do is not uncommon just make sure you dont pay sales tax in montana if you dont have to. some dealers will charge you the tax even if you are not required to pay it most states the dealer doesnt collect sales tax it is done at registration time. transit plates that ive seen are usually 10 or 20 days. also *important* transit plates are issued by the state where you will eventually register the vehicle not the state where you buy it! in nh where i am to get transit plates i have to show a bill of sale or other documentation that ive bought the vehicle. they then issue a transit registration and a paper plate. took me about 20 minutes the last time mostly a wait in line because someone was ahead of me! g nh hell they dont require insurance there.g backwoods no teeth state.bfg i think her deal is that they are going directly to mt to get the truck then cross country to the east coast i believe. so to do what you suggest is a nightmare imo. unless they have a agent that will do leg work and will get them a insurance binder go to the dmv and spend some time on a fax. might be easier to ship the truck i still think with a couple of phone calls the correct procedure can be determined. probably not necessary but i wont stop you if you want to its hard to call the us from here with the time zone differences. okay. if you dont hear from nate by monday morning then im on it. cant do much now it is 2215 friday night sooo it will be monday. roy jmc . 222 343793 04b18278-9dea-4b0c-b0bd-da3118f1a05a@r9g2000prd.googlegroups.com flames aside anyone have ideas .

i got the truck back after the lift pump conversion was complete bill payed by dc very expensive job and a lot of work. i now see 8-9 lbs of pressure at idle and 6-7 under throttle. there was a statement on the conversion paperwork saying that pressure is irrelevant and no aftermarket pressure gauge should be believed and that it is all about flow. sounds like a pretty stupid comment for them to print. do you know the story well yes and no. while its true that the test procedure in the service manual for the lift pump is all about measuring fuel flow and not pressure pressure is still a valid way to verify the health of the lift pump. the cp3 injection pump isnt nearly as sensitive to fuel pressure as the vp44 was and will still operate safely at near-zero fuel pressure so long as theres fuel flow. but barring any kind of abnormal and unlikely restriction you can safely assume that the cp3 is being fed a constant supply of fuel so long as your fp gauge registers some amount of pressure. so to me an fp gauge is still plenty valid and much cheaper than a flow gauge. .

i am hoping i can find some answers. we have a 1990 dodge ram 50 fuel injected that will not start cold. i have taken this truck to three mechanics including the dodge dealer and the mitsubishi dealer and have charged me money and replaced things but have not fixed the problem. we have replaced every feasible thing emissions starter fuel wise and still no cold start. if i can get it started by clutch start towing it to the top of a hill and get it running and warmed up it starts just fine. i am told that the last thing it could need is a new computer. before i shell out more money does this sound like it could be the problem. this truck has a lot of sentimental value and we are remodeling our bathroom so we really need a truck for hauling stuff. thanks! louise wzhannig@gmail.com .
