Truck Performance

Q: i recently went to nascar.com and got to reading the seems like a lot of the other drivers in wc are going to help pay for jimmys fine. seems that mr busch is pretty much a mouthy little bastard who most feel needed an attitude ajustment. seems he gave mr spencer the finger coming onto pit road causing the altercation with the cars. then he parked in front of mr spencers hauler blocking the loading ramp running his mouth. in fact the wc drivers elected mr spencer most popular driver afterwards doesnt say much for mr busch does it you can go to nascars site and click on the icon and follow it from there. it was all to me about mr busch i guess it all goes back to being a gracious winner versus being an obnoxious little prick about it. richard petty dale sr bill elliot and some others are in the first catagory and then theres the other ones. im inclined to agree that humpy wheeler should set up a boxing ring during the charlotte race in sep let them go at it and donate the proceeds to charity. go jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hey red!! did ya catch what ya favorite bulldozer driver pulled off after sundays race long story short. your manly man at 63 goes running over to buschs car leans in and sucker punchs him. keep in mind that all 120lbs. of .

got a diesel then get one of those bully dog propane injection kits. then add nitrous to that. what is the single most thing you can add to a truck to give it peak performance other than nitrous im guessing a supercharger but is there a cheaper way to get good budget horse that makes a noticeable difference cheers remo rosati author divine intervention http//www.geocities.com/newnovelann now available at over 50000 bookstores .

hi! i am aware that the dodge cummins trucks went through a major re-design starting with the 94 year. does anybody know what parts if any are interchangeable between the 94 - 98 with the earlier 89 - 93 dodge cummins trucks im more or less informed as to what the engine changes were starting with the 94 year. so im not asking about engine parts but body and suspension parts as well. specifically shock absorbers front springs axles etc. steering box occasionally i see parts for the 94 and newer trucks on ebay. but rarely for the older trucks. similarly can any of the later 94 - 98 parts such as brakes be used to upgrade an older truck again im not asking about engine parts but everything else. with unlimited money and time nearly anything is possible. what im asking is are there any fairly easy straight bolt-on or even slight welding fabrication upgrades to the older trucks using newer parts thanks! vernon .

of course it did i got home didnt i you have to remember im old and remember how cheap mechanical fuel pumps are for 318s. and how cheap my own labor is i mean i dont charge myself a dime! but you cant replace the new fuel pumps on the side of the road like the old ones. and the old 318s dont have fuel pump relays to go bad or oxygen sensors either. and no i dont want to go back to those days i love the fuel injection power fuel economy and reliability. its just expensive when it finally does break. did it fix the problem id have given you $800 for the vehicle you should have called replaced the pump relay and o2 sensor for just over $800.00. yeah i thought it was kind of high too. .

yes there is! maybe not near the power but change out to a higher gear ratio! helluva alot less expensive than a blower! eric 89 5.0 lx vert cobra long block 2.5 o/r h-pipe 2.73s w/locker 40 series deltas and some kinda wild assed cam! --- for sale ---- 64 falcon ht hot rod project check out the ford engine heaven! http//users.boardnation.com/katmandu/index.php well the best biggest improvement you can make is a supercharger. the cheap way to go is nitrous. since you ruled both of those out. nothing you add on is going to give so such a big performance boost as those. you can do things like adding a performance exhaust and intake setup for better flow for more horsepower. possibly a power programmer for a little more. to do those 3 things youd be looking at around a grand. possibly add some headers for a little more hp. what is the single most thing you can add to a truck to give it peak performance other than nitrous im guessing a supercharger but is there a cheaper way to get good budget horse that makes a noticeable difference cheers remo rosati author divine intervention http//www.geocities.com/newnovelann now available at over 50000 bookstores .

what is the truck in question are we talking a v6 dakota or a 3500 ram with a cummins or by the looks of the cross posting it can be anything. we need more details here. what truck what engine what do you want to do with it dollar for dollar a supercharger is hard to beat for daily use. im sure bottle feeding your ride will give it a nice kick... when you have it activated. the super is always there. and dont forget turbo! i think there might be one company that makes a turbo kit for the ram. also try looking at cams. if you get some nice headers ported intake. or even an m-1 if you have a 5.2 or 5.9 dodge. then get the computer remapped to take full advantage. or if you have $10k sitting around just get a 528 hemi. 650hp out of the crate. what is the single most thing you can add to a truck to give it peak performance other than nitrous im guessing a supercharger but is there a cheaper way to get good budget horse that makes a noticeable difference cheers remo rosati author divine intervention http//www.geocities.com/newnovelann now available at over 50000 bookstores .

i think it all depends on the sc system you choose. personally im planning on installing the ati pro-charger with a claimed 55% increase in hp. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. 2810-5d yonkers road raleigh nc 27604 loballeng@mindspring.com on sat 23 aug 2003 182337 -0400 r r newnovelann@yahoo.com wrote what is the single most thing you can add to a truck to give it peak performance other than nitrous im guessing a supercharger but is there a cheaper way to get good budget horse that makes a noticeable difference nope. headers will help but not in a way that you can feel in your seat. a supercharger will trim about 1 second off of the 1/4-mile time on the v8 tundra. nitrous... obviously the difference is in how high you dare push it. anything else will provide very little improvement. --- rich http//richlockyer.tripod.com/ .

webmaster@carolinabreezehvac.com writes i dont like them. why one freaking tiny gauge you cant tell jack with only a low suction side reading...and thats a fact. point taken. however a low side guage even a wallyworld cheapie is better than blindly dumping in a can of gas as so many do with no guage at all. you have to remember we cant all afford to buy top dollar repairs. if the suction side is really low adding refrigerant is about the only thing thatll raise it. give em a tiny bit of credit for at least trying not to overcharge the system. i think the primary issue we do-it-yourselfers have with the hvac service industry at large is that it like automotive mechanical work in general has become so damned rife with fast buck artists who take advantage of the customers lack of knowledge about the system so they can pack the job with extra b.s. charges. this practice is rampant at dealerships and occurs with some frequency at most independents. in some cases too especially at the independents only one guy in the shop is certified and every other gas-venter on the payroll bootlegs off of his ticket. thats wrong. if im being expected to pay for a premium repair then i have a right to expect that the guy doing it is a certified expert at his craft. how does the average joe-blow customer find an honest hvac shop its like trying to find an honest chiropractor; i question if such a thing exists. .
