Tranny slipping

Q: now i have a new problem... the turn signal isnt working and the four- way flasher only works when i have the headlights turned off. also the bright light indicator is staying on regardless of high or low beam. both the turn signal indicators in the dash are staying on as well.. now you messed up some wiring while playing around with the ignition switch. check the wiring and connector on the multi-function switch which is on the opposite side of the column from the ignition switch. .

midlant wrote on a 96 4x4 2500 w/cummins. is this an adjustment or a rebuild it will be going to the shop for servicing as soon as i set up a ride there and back and want to prepare myself for the worse. mine felt like it was slipping when accelerating from a stop. dont know the exact problem but they replaced a part inside and just had to drop the pan. .

the blower motor will not turn on at any setting on the dashboard control. i took the blower motor out of the truck and connected it directly to the battery and it worked. i would assume i could eliminate that as being the problem. yep as for the resistor pack i am not familiar with what i amlooking for or where it is located and could greatly use the help. its a littel block with a 4-wire connector on it. its usually found in the bottom of the hvac box. however since you said the motor wont even run in full-speed mode the resistor block probably isnt your issue since the wiring through the resistor block is bypassed when the fan speed is set to max. double-check the fuse - then check the blower motor relay. swap it with another relay the horn relays a good candidate - you know that ones good if your horn works. if thats not it you need to trace out the wiring with a meter and find where its either been damaged or where a ground is loose. a wiring diagram would make this task much easier. http//www.dodge.com/bodybuilder doesnt have an 04 diagram but it does have an 05 which should at least be of some help. .

suddenly without warning tom lawrence exclaimed 7/31/2007 1053 am i have a 2004 dakota that will not blow air hot or cold in the interior. all fuses are ok. can anyone point me in the right direction for the next step. will the blower motor not turn on any setting or will it only run on the max setting if it wont turn at all and youre sure both the fuse and the blower motor relay are good you need to disconnect the blower motor and test it separately. if its bad replace it. if it will run but only on the max setting then your resistor pack is shot and simply needs replacement. fyi been there done that. ive been through three resistors in my 2001 dakota. its a pretty well-known issue that id have hoped theyd fixed by 2004. the first died in 2003 the second died 10 months later but whispering the third is still working fine. i didnt want to say that too loud might jinx it jmc .

midlant wrote it just sits there then engages and off i go. i take my foot off the brake and it may or may not move. eventually it will. sometimes a quick blip of the accelerator will get it to move other times i have to wait for it the apply throttle. when was the last time the fluid and filter were changed .
