Q: remove spam from address to reply wrote 1995 dodge ram van 3500 series 1-ton 360 v8 automatic 105000 miles. recently it became reluctant to shift out of 1st gear when cold acted ok after warmup. today it refused to go out of 1st at all. i checked the fluid and it was low so brought it back up to normal added 1.5 quarts. after this it shifted normally for about 10 miles but now it has relapsed and will shift from 1st to second but will not go into 3rd. fluid level is ok. any idea what this behavior indicates the fluid looked and smelled ok. is there an easy adjustment for the shifting when was the last time you had the transmission fluid and filter changed jerry .
