Q: va@comcast.com check engine light has been on for about 2 months got it checked out when it first came on at autozone. they said the code reflected a small minor fuel system leak perhaps a faulty gas cap replaced and reset check engine light or a vacuum leak. well the engine check light is back on... any ideas on where to start thanks kevin evaporative emissions leak if it is the same code have someone perform a smoke test on the system to find the leak or the mechanical problem. the fault means you are venting fuel vapors to the atmosphere it has nothing to do with raw fuel bad gas cap .

okay i played with it a bit in a couple of driveways and parking lots. i guess i have been spoiled by the blizzaks. the bfgs dont cut it. maybe with 700lbs of weight it might be okay. pushing in 2wd up a slight incline with a full blade after 40feet the rear started to step out tried a little angle and it was no better. had to go to 4wd remember this was about 8 of light powder. parking lots where you could use some speed it was fine. the electric shift that i was leery of was fine real quick. with the plow raised it is very very light on the ass end. so for safety sake weight has to be added next year though. still waiting for my strobe to get here. a heavy wet snow should be here mon. night into tues. that could be interesting. all in all it plows real good quick no lag at all. very nimble as far as backing and turning and all that torque is amazing now to get some traction to get that torque to the ground. roy good to hear you havent lost it yet. all that sitting around getting a fatter ass didnt hurt ya much.. bfg i still have not caught up to you wide ride. vbg i got a new set of revos after all the snow had already fallen of course and they made a world of difference. the last two times ive been out for touch-up ive only had to kick in the front end for the loading docks. have i ever told you what i think of loading docks oh go ahead and tell me agan youll feel better. g no it wont. itll just piss me off all over again.... denny .

on thu 24 feb 2005 010309 gmt moparman scott.hendryx.clothes@sbcglobal.net wrote drove the new 05 3500 dually from dallas to churchville ny. left on saturday and got home last night about 6pm. 3088 miles. picked up my new 34 foot 5th wheeler. its the first time ive towed with the turbo-d. i loved my 2500 hemi truck but it couldnt hold a candle to the 610 foot pounds of torque this baby cranks out. it towed like it wasnt there. up the hills down the hills around the corners etc. im sure the duallies help to stabilize the ride better than a standard ass end but i couldnt believe it. my wife kept asking me why i had this shit eattin grin on my face......... anyway im glad i bought it. i got 18 mpg going up to ny and 11 mpg coming home. i only took it outta drive once cause i had to start from a dead stop at the bottom of a mountain but other than that i didnt use the tow switch. i used the cruise control when not in the cities. never had any problem with it shifting allot on hills either. i prolly could have gotten better mileage but i was cruising at 75 to 80 on the open roads for most of the trip. the radar detector saved my ass many a times but i cant just do the speed limit. i have an authority problem and it was nascars big opening weekend. its nice to own a truck you know can pull a building off its foundation.....if i do much more long trips like this one i think ill go ahead an invest in sirus. east coast country radio sucks. country music sucks no matter where you are. bfg roy i thought you were cool until you admitted to liking liberace!! no i admitted nothing. i just merely stated a fact. roy -- donut try to change the faqs. if it werent for country there would be no pick up trucks. how many rock-n-roll songs even mention a truck.....just what i thought. the early 1950s hank williams sr cd sure gets a workout in my trucks player. they dont make them like that anymo. oldtimer no they dont. you are a good man and your truck is cool too. -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

my new truck is getting only about 15 mpg. my dads 1997 averages 20 mpg or better. my truck only has about 11000 miles on it. is my fuel mileage average or just too early to tell while the engine breaks in talk to your dealers service department. theres a new flash available for these engines to improve the fuel economy. with that said dont expect numbers like your fathers 12-valve engine... those days are gone suppressed by the desire for cleaner emissions at the cost of more fossil fuels consumed... brilliant plan tom that flash is only available for the ho version engine and it may only increase mileage 1 mpg. every little bit helps i guess.. g denny .

i heard dodge is coming out with a daytona truck with a bigger hemi than the standard with about 425 hp. maybe that would be better than the cummins i myself dont like the noise from the diesel. wife has a hemi 04 durango. its got lots of power!!! tbone wrote gotta have some help here. if i buy a cummins it is about 5k more than the hemi. given the difference in fuel costs and taking into consideration the mileage difference as well as maintenance costs i figure to be approx. 125k miles to a brake even point. does that sound right to you folks i spent some time driving a 05 hemi powered 2500 4x4 last night very impressive truck. a couple of you own them or just sold one please jump in here need all the pros and cons. also the same truck with a cummins very impressive truck as well. guess it comes down to need vs. want. will i be doing a lot of towing in the next couple of years probably not. will i be plowing snow it looks that way. gotta find out how these hemis plow snow anybody have a blade on one roy your payback miles sounds about right. i figgered mine to be about 100k. keep in mind that with the cummins you get about $2-$3k back for the diesel when you get ready to sell it. which if he follows his current path would be in about 2 years - ----== posted via feeds.com - unlimited-uncensored-secure usenet ==---- http//www.feeds.com the #1 group service in the world! 120000+ groups ----= east and west-coast server farms - total privacy via encryption =---- .
