please memorize this phrase if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. imho theyre a rip off. budd anyone have a tornadokit on a cummins for improved fuel mileage heres a link to view details for anyone that dont! im wondering if its a farse http//tornadoair.com/ .

it is a rip off device that does nothing. a tv station tested those things here in phoenix a few years back along with several other rip off gadgets. no gains at all. t&l wrote anyone have a tornadokit on a cummins for improved fuel mileage heres a link to view details for anyone that dont! im wondering if its a farse http//tornadoair.com/ .

anyone have a tornadokit on a cummins for improved fuel mileage heres a link to view details for anyone that dont! im wondering if its a farse oh where to start with this one... its absolutely positively 110% grade-a homogenized bullshit. this goes double for a diesel engine. on a gas engine the air/fuel mixture fills the cylinder gets compressed then ignited. promoting turbulence in the combustion chamber is a good thing because you want the air and fuel well-mixed for a uniform complete burn. engineers work long and hard on the design of the combustion chamber to accomplish this. on a diesel engine the only thing entering the cylinder is air. the only thing that gets compressed is air. once the air is good and compressed and good and hot only then is the fuel squirted in. combustion starts immediately and whether the air in that tiny combustion chamber is stagnant or swirling around at mach snot matters none. the only thing that matters is how much air got rammed into the cylinder because the more air the higher the density of oxygen in the combustion chamber and the more fuel that can be injected and burned. now with all that said... it is conceivable that the mileage would increase slightly with this product just not for the reasons they claim. by introducing a restriction into the intake track the computer on newer diesels anyway will read lower manifold pressure and hence will inject less fuel resulting in less power but maybe slightly higher mpg. tell ya what - for half the price of the tornado ill sell you a 2x4x4 block of wood that you can put under your accelerator pedal which will also limit the amount of fuel you can use and provide the same mpg increase. .
