Q: the compressor should be clicking on and off at a rate determined by the ambient temperature. whats the high side pressure surfersabo wrote thank you all very much for the comments!!! you have all been very helpful to me. i think transurgeon sees what im afraid of with the low funds comment. according to the mechanic i have a leak and it must be in the evaporator because he looked everywhere else. it could be true. it is just a very expensive repair and i would like to feel very secure that i am replacing the right part. i appreciate the section where people debated about the cost of the tools. i just measured the low side pressure with the ac system running and it was doing the following the compressor would click on and the reading would drop down to about 20 then it would click off and the pressure would rise back up to about 45. the compressor is clicking on and off every five seconds or so. is this how the guy knows i have a leak again i really appreciate the help in learning about this. .

not with the 1500. i have a 97 1500 with the 5 speed and have no complaints with the trans other than a significantly reduced towing capacity but it appears that they corrected that problem. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving just a 4.7 in a 1500. i dont believe you can get a hemi with a stick. i am considering a new full size four door doge ram 4x4. i would like it with a manual 5 speed. if anyone out there has a set-up like this could you give me some feed back as to how the gas mileage is how stiff the clutch may be how reliable it has been and if you have enjoyed it so far. thanks; which engine hemi or cummins and you are talking a 2500 or bigger with these engines. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

and you didnt answer the question. i never asked how you drove it i asked how parts subject various types of wear could be warrantied. they cannot. what a load of crap! every part of the truck is subject to various types of wear including the paint. by your reasoning nothing should or could be warrantied. if toy mazda and mercedes want to warranty those parts it the choice of the corporate leadership. . .its also not cost effective. if the parts are reliable there is no substantial risk in putting them under the vehicle warranty. the fact that they seem to gain market share every year in their classes shows that it is very much cost effective. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .
