Q: says... only problems when it is idling in neutral how about when you drive it hows it working what are your idle rpm i have a 1985 dodge ramcharger prospect that runs like s#!t. i have cleaned the carb disconnected the exhaust changed all the plugs and wires cap and rotor did an oil change. when it sits and idles it runs good and i push the gas and no loss of power. the problem is when i put it in gear it losses power and starts chugging. any suggestions i had this kind of thing happen one time on a gm car the weights in the distributor rusted due to it sitting for a long time and timing stayed at 12-18 deg btdc regardless of rpm. i saw it move when i revved it and thought ok its advancing not seeing if it was doing what it really was supposed to do. i went through all kinds of hell with that thing. once i found it in 20 minutes i had it running ok. a little gun lube and very fine sandpaper cleaned up the weights and pins. bdk .
