really how much weight difference are we talking about i find it hard to believe you couldnt put *any* engine in an suv with a fully boxed frame. not talking from experience here none with the durango anyway & no exp. with diesels but im willing to bet you could drop a big-block in it with no problems. paul aka tha driver giggle cream - it makes dessert *funny*! .

yeah... and get close to 30mpg with it to boot! ******* think so on that subject does anyone have an automatic overdrive trans a518 in a mopar whats it like im thinking of using one behind a 360 in my pickup. -will trade parts or body work/paint including custom work for one in the n. ga. area... paul aka tha driver giggle cream - it makes dessert *funny*! .

a518 in a mopar whats it like im thinking of using one behind a 360 just put a big block in it and get over 30mpg politics the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich. .

just put a big block in it and get over 30mpg ******* would love to but i dont have a big-block. i *do* have a 360. im trying to peice this thing together with very little money. i currently have a full-time 4wd with a 318 club cab long bed. im going to put the cab & bed on a 2wd regular cab long bed frame shortening the bed to make it fit. the only thing i need is the trans. if anyone has a big-block & an overdrive automatic to go with it ill trade parts or paint/body work for those too. paul aka tha driver giggle cream - it makes dessert *funny*! .

you may have to wait a long for that 360 to bite the dust i agree! i had two of them and when they were traded the trucks may have had problems but that 360 still purred like a kitten. i moved on to the 345 hemi as well and pray that it wasnt a mistake so far its not. the 360 really is a great motor. --mike tm wrote i want to take the 360 out of my 99 durango when it finally bites the dust and put a diesel engine in it have any of you guys/gals seen any sites where anyone has done this before on the durango thanks tm you may have to wait a long for that 360 to bite the dust jam .

that is one of the factors i have considered that is why i was wondering if there was a site out there where someone else has done it before and i can avoid their pitfalls. tm on wed 4 aug 2004 203918 -0500 tm nobodystalkinblahblah@hotmail.ro wrote i want to take the 360 out of my 99 durango when it finally bites the dust and put a diesel engine in it have any of you guys/gals seen any sites where anyone has done this before on the durango thanks tm whatll it cost to beef up the frame to handle the extra weight on the front end .
