TPS and fuel tank

From : al

Q: hi again. last winter i posted a problem with my ram 2500 not shifting right and it has has two tranny jobs. the info i got here was check the tps. well i drove it for a few months without doing anything to it and now the warm weather is here it shifts fine. now does this mean that it is still the tps or second my fuel tank is leaking diesel tank on a 96 ram. i have a small drip but when i fill it right up about 2 liters pours out on the ground. i thought this would be the filler hose but that would not explain the small drip all day long. is there a seal on these tanks that wear out hope so just quoted a new tank $785 canadian n/i sender or pump. thanks for any ideas al .

i have a 96 diesel as well. two years ago i had the fuel guage sensor replaced and when the tank was put back on; the first time i filled the tank whatever fuel was in the filler tube poured out onto the ground. took it back to the repair place and upon closer inspection found that the connection that the fuel lines and return were attached to was made of metal and had rusted out.i wasnt that noticeable until the mechanic cleaned up the unit. replace it with a non metalic unit from another chrysler product and has worked great ever since. not sure what your daily drip might be from unless the fuel from the lines is leaking out the same holes. i would think that the truck would be hard to start if that was the problem due to air in the lines. 96 owner al wrote hi again. last winter i posted a problem with my ram 2500 not shifting right and it has has two tranny jobs. the info i got here was check the tps. well i drove it for a few months without doing anything to it and now the warm weather is here it shifts fine. now does this mean that it is still the tps or second my fuel tank is leaking diesel tank on a 96 ram. i have a small drip but when i fill it right up about 2 liters pours out on the ground. i thought this would be the filler hose but that would not explain the small drip all day long. is there a seal on these tanks that wear out hope so just quoted a new tank $785 canadian n/i sender or pump. thanks for any ideas al .
