synthetic oil

Q: youre probably gonna call me a liar. i would not blame you a bit. i bought a 1997 2500 with the 5.9 diesel and 119000 miles on the clock. i immediately changed oil to use 15w-40 mobile one and the recommended filter. after almost 4000 miles the oil is still transparent - a little darker than ordinary honey. this cant be normal.....can it .
