Stupid Tranny Question.

Q: ok here goes. i have a 4 speed in my caravan with a 3.0. the gear selector has od and d and 2 i think 2. now i am to assume that the od is overdrive and that is where my van is most of the time. it seems that if i am climbing hills with a load a cargo version by the way that i should drop it into d. the only thing that bothers me a bit is that it seems like the engine is really revving up at say 50 mph more than i like. i dont have a tach so i am not sure what it is actually pulling in rpm. what is the top speed you should be able to drive comfortably in the d position and if loaded is it better to just stay in that it just seemed that the drive position was more like driving in 2nd in a car without od and i didnt want the engine jumping out of the hood. after my wife nuetral dropped it a few weeks ago i already had to replace the mounts so the less jumping up the better! chas -- please post in the group or remove the rem0veth1s from my email to reply. .
