Stop Bumps

Q: guys do stop bumps need to be welded into place i apparently have a broken one or a missing one on the front drivers wheel on my 01 ram 1500. i can see a smooth clean spot on the control arm i hope thats rightand a perfect circle cutting into the inside of the tire. the shop that i took the truck to said they needed to weld a new stop bump in place. if thats whats needed then great ill have them do it. but before someone starts welding on my truck i wanted to check with some experts here first. one good note is that this shop has found out why my truck pulls to the right. they said the front drivers wheel is too far forward and needs to be adjusted. this is something 2 different dodge dealers could not find over the 3 and a half years ive owned the truck. all i got out of them was that the pull to the right was normal. shop said all other front end components including ball joints look great. so im happy about that. thanks for any help. bob -- takeoff is an option. landing is a must! and in the end on wheels we will depend. .
