Starting after long time storage

Q: hello my truck dodge 96 2500 diesel has been sitting in an outside parking lot for the last two years with no usage long story. what suggestions do you guys have for putting this truck back into usage i know that the batteries will be dead and there might be a flat tire or two but what about the fuel and the engine should i be worried about the diesel being contaminated with algae should i flush the fuel system before attempting to start this is in the mid-west chicago. your input is appreciated. thanks vic .
