Speedo fluctuation??

Q: my 99 ram 1500 did this in conjunction with an illuminated abs lamp. the cause was a failed vehicle speed sensor. on my 98 durango 5.2l the speedometer is acting strangely. ill be going down the highway and itll be fluctuating and even hang out at 0 for a second then go up and down. then itll hold the true speed for a while then start fluctuating again. can anyone tell me what to look for ofor if it is possible for me to fix thanx in advance mike .

i can get one for around $7000 manual trans supposed to run strong looks in good shape other than seat and supposed to run well its in texas would anyone be will to give opinions or let me talk to them on phone i need truck to work pull heavy trailer loads thanks bill bostonbill83@hotmail.com .
