rickn7hj@gmail.com wrote double bounce by gmail. they foudn the wire to the sensor near the clock spring they replaced to have a splice pulled loose yea right and they respliced it what were they doing under the dash if they were repairing front end components prob nothing. this is the same kind of person that takes one in for a front end alignment and then complains a week later when the motor locks up from 50k of no oil changes that the dealer did it. .

checked all the fuses and all are ok but the 20a outlet on my dash doesnt work. the standard cig lighter outlet works fine.......any clues a lot of them... most are useless to you however becuase you dont say what kind of vehicle this is for. .

if they broke the wire the simple fact is they did sloppy work and if they gave some harebrained explanation instead of admitting it they are also dishonest. a good mechanic would not only fix the problem but check to see he didnt break or damage anything else including greasy palm prints on things like the body door handles steering wheel etc. while they charge $75.00 to $150.00/hour what compensation do they give when the customer has to bring his vehicle back so they can fix their own screw-up it gets worse! ld yea right so...bear with me as your statement above makes little sense in english...but you are now complaining that they found the problem and made it right for you im not real sure what you said but i am pretty sure that you just might be too stupid to own a vehicle. um ill refrain from answering you in the manner you chose. how about this dealer has been fairly below avg in the service department. so much so that the salesmen even complain about them. now the clock spring which they replaced has the wires for the cruise next it. if by chance they broke the wire in the first place then forgot about it or didnt check or some other explanation they would still have to fix it. but instead of maybe admitting they may have broke a wire they possibly make up a story about previous wire splices. now how often do you think the sensor wires or control wires for the cruise would have required a splice if the truck has never had a problem before so why would a splice be there in the first place. .

ive done brakes on other vehicles but not on a 4wd. am i missing anything not much - but its better to attach a hose to the bleeder screw and expel fluid from the caliper when compressing the pistons rather than forcing the fluid back up and into the resevoir. this accomplishes several things - it works the bleeder screw so it doesnt freeze up it gets some old fluid out of the system it doesnt allow the resevoir to overflow and make a mess and most importantly it doesnt force any contaminants back up the system possibly into the abs pump. just make sure the tube fits tightly over the bleeder nipple and the other end is in a contained immersed in fluid this way if the piston happens to bounce back a little bit when you remove the clamp it wont suck in air. the slide pin bolts that mount the caliper torque to 24ft.lbs. your lug nuts go to 135ft.lbs. in a criss-cross pattern. use the old inner pad as a backing plate to compress the pistons since theres two of them. bottom out the pistons then re-tighten the bleeder screw. when you remove the pads check the rotor for any scoring. i always check the rotors for excessive run-out need a dial indicator for this as well. if theres no grooves and the run-outs within specs the rotors good to go for another set of pads. if not i just toss em and put on new rotors... even on our trucks these days theres just not much excess material on the rotors and more often than not having them cut will bring them below minimum thickness and will cost almost as much as a new set. fortunately the 3rd gen trucks even the hd 4x4s use a separate rotor and hub meaning you just have to remove the two bolts that hold the caliper adapter to the knuckle to remove the rotor. when youre all finished pump up the brakes until the pedal gets firm then top off the fluid resevoir with fresh brake fluid. .

theres a diesel jeep liberty nowadays. this is true but a liberty is not a truck or a dodge. sure they are all part of the same big family but i think most people in the smaller suv market are not looking at trucks too are they i dont know if the diesel liberty is available in ca is it i heard that it didnt meet some stupid ca reg... just like the jetta tdi. somehting about not costing enough at the fuel pumps to make it worth it to the fuel companie... er i mean.. uh.. something about soot or the cat. ;- .

which switchplate are you referring to had the same problem a while back or at least it sounds like what my 98 ram 1500 318 was doing. i had the injectors cleaned and after that i have been ok. at the same time have you had the switch plate looked at 1995 ram van with v-6. when warm and cruising will start hesitation and bucking to varying degrees from slight to that of backfiring no power worse on incline.the computor has been replaced the fuel pump was replaced with a carter unit several months ago.was running fine for several months after the fuel pump replacement unrelated problem i believe no engine codes are setchecked with sophisticated matco testerrealtime info seems ok.the fuel pump relay has recently been replaced also.any educated guesses on where to start .

my wifes durango is having a transmission issue...go figure...a durango with transmission trouble. i took it to the only transmission shop that i trust in our area this morning and hes going on vacation for a week and a half so im out of luck until he returns. in the mean time im trying to do all the research i can to possibly diagnose or fix the problem before then. the problem that it is having is that it will not go into reverse until the transmission is very warm. she got stuck and had to go through someones yard this morning. after she brought it home we couldnt duplicate the problem. i have experienced this before but it seems to be getting worse. any advice yup dont park where she has to back up for at least 10 days........ .
