three real snows a year maybe. you definitely do not want tires with studs in them. not only will you be ticketed if you drive on them without snow on the ground they are outright dangerous or wet pavement as you will have reduced traction. go find a good set of blizzack or other dedicated snow tire compound tire. be forewarned that these are lower load rated and not rated for speed over 85 mph in all cases some even lower speed rating than that. david i have a 2wd ram 1500 4.7l and id like to buy real snow tires with studs. we dont get much snow in nj maybe three good size storms in five years some years no snow at all unfortunately dodge chose a weird size tire p245/70r17 108s. anyone know where to find a real not all season snow tire .
