i dont think it would really help you if someone did explain to you that the heat is caused by resistance in the wires not in the switch. the switch heating up is a symptom not the problem the switch in my 01 1500 gets warm as it wastes power that could otherwise produce useful light at the headlight bulb filaments. ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .

i am putting the torque converter on the transmission first but the problem is getting the torque converter all the way seated onto the input shaft. there is a little free floating nub in the torque converter that needs to fit in a hole in the end of the input shaft and the trick is to get them lined up because the nub drops down when i go to put it on the input shaft of the transmission. thanks for the help says... on sat 6 dec 2003 153729 -0500 troy tlott2370@cox.net wrote i have to replace the engine in my 1998 dodge durango and now i am having trouble getting the torque converter back onto the input shaft of the tranny. any one know of a way to make this easier i think the problem is the little free floating nub that is inside the torque converter that has to fit into the hole at the end of the input shaft. any help would be deeply appreciated. you install the torque converter first! then bolt it to the flywheel after the engine is bolted in by turning the engine using the starter hole for access.. you can distroy the front transmission seal if you dont and may do even more damage than that. beekeep truth. been there done that. / chas .
