Q: thanks ed i did some reasearch last night and found its around 29 pretty small tire for a truck compaired to a newer truck. brian ed h. wrote it really depends on the tire manufacturer. theoretically a 235/75r15 has about a 29 diameter but that can vary widely. i was just wanting to know which tire is bigger a 235-75-15 or a 30-9.50-15. tires on truck are 30-9.50-15 but the sticker in the door says 235-75-15 are factory. i would like to have a larger tire maybe 31-10.5s on my 92 power ram 150 4x4. thanks .

i think the problem was rotted out fuel line. replaced 10 feet or so of 3/8 inch rust that was pretending to be fuel line. now the van runs continuous instead of one second at a time. my original thought was a fuel problem. you probably have a carburator full of crap. id rebuild the carb. i had something similar and that was problem and solution. .

my son has a 98 dodge dakota a base model. last night the power steering failed due to lost fluid. today we were unable to see a leak maybe due to the fact that there was very little fluid left in the reservior. he had to drive about 60 miles after experiencing the loss of fluid. will this extended operation cause irreparable damage to the ps pump we plan to fill it up tomorrow and find and repair the leak tomorrow. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks john .

any ideas dudes for what you describe you bought the wrong truck. take the money that you would have spent on axle swaps and the modifications required to make them work and add it to the money you have from selling your truck. then use it to buy the right truck for the job that you describe. a 2500/3500. -- nathan in montana http//concealedcarryforum.com http//1911tech.com http//glockcarry.com .

i have a 2003 dodge ram quad cab 1500 series with the 4.7 motor. it has developed a problem where the heat blows warm out of the vents on the right side of the radio. the vents on the left are just blowing cool air. this is also the same problem with the heater...right side warm left side cool. the defroster works okay. it is not blowing hot.just warm. please e-mail me any suggestions since i cannot afford to take it to a dealer. i posted this on a friends computer so please e-mail bcoleman33@comcast.net thanks barbara .

heatwave wrote we can look at france and see how well socialist ideas have been playing out. non to well obviously. the uk is having trouble keeping up with the high cost of socialism. they are having to cut funding for free college in order to pay for free health care for instance. tax rates are already absurd in the uk so they have trouble hiking taxes further. no way do i want that kind of system here. .

incoherent blather snipped i guess if you are a greedy prick who happens to make $1000000 bucks a year i guess paying 350000 in federal income taxes alone isnt good enough. i guess the other 650000 will never ever get spent in society and taxed again and again. it will just stay tucked under the matress! muahahaha! roles eyes id rather be a greedy prick than a jealous socialist sociopath who thinks the goverment can and should act as some sort of robin hood who thinks it can spend my money better. you can take 35% of my income heck 50% of my income and give it away to people poorer than i but then i will have no money to spend to support their jobs thus they become jobless and i now become poor. except for the fact everytime my taxes go up i pass the cost onto my customers just like every other greedy prick. ;- we can look at france and see how well socialist ideas have been playing out. non to well obviously. .

you got that right... it kind of irks me when i hear the arguments for or against e-85. i think treating it as an alternate fuel for existing engines is fine but if the distribution for it ever got ramped up dedicated engines made to use e-85 only would really be better. i think over time the idea *could* catch on just mho... you cant run gas in a diesel yet plenty of folks still drive em. as you said an engine built to use e-85 only could make use of a higher compression ratio that would more than compensate for the lower energy content btus / gallon of ethanol. heres one link about the saab variable compression ratio motor... http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/saabvariablecompressionengine also check this link out...it jumps to the b205 which takes advantage of the higher octane of the e-85. http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/biopower#b205 youre right about the need for bigger jetting in carbed applicationsbut i think a mpfi setup with injectors that can handle the task would eliminate any tuning issues as evidenced by the latest gm flex-fuel vehicles. jp bigironram wrote id like to see some information on that got a link compression ratio can be raised to extreme levels around 141 on engines run exclusively on alcohol but then theyre not flex fuel anymore. the fuel economy claim is also interesting. i know on alcohol converted carbureted engines use huge jets compared to gasoline engines. it would be interesting to see what technology has come up with recently. .
