Silly question

From : ibnfshn

Q: my 96 would get lousy milage after the o2 sensor tripped a code. the light would go out but the milage took a long time to come back up... btw the sensor only failed and was found only when under load m. on thu 30 dec 2004 003720 -0500 jbarts johnbarts@yahooo.com wrote hello i own a 1996 ram 2500 v8. this is my first truck and i think its awesome! i want to make sure its running great so i dont mind putting some money into it to make it run better! i just drove the truck 200 miles ski trip i averaged between 70 miles an hour with some stop and go driving in one small town and some mountain driving small mountain. from what ive read i thought my truck would get 14-16 on the highway. the problem is that i only averaged 10 mpg. i know im not driving a compact car but i thought my highway mileage might be a little higher. does 10 mpg seem a little low i think there might be a problem already checked the tire pressure it was good im going to 1 check/change the fan clutch 2 change the spark plugs and wires 3 check the u-joints i do hear something 4 check the calipers i will also check/change the o2 sensor. anything else to check .

fwiw i just tossed my small magnetic roady2 antenna between the defroster vents on the inside of the truck works good w/ built in fm transmitter. it is my understanding possibly wrong that the sattilite that serves the east coast is having minor problems i am on the west coast and had great reception on the road. my primary use is for inside at work. most major cities have a terrestial ground basedretransmitter to work inside under bridges tunnels ect. i didnt want a permanintsp install in my truck. in las vegas nv i have good not great reception inside. the computer personme has blocked the xm internet feed... 256kbps download shared between 15 people just dosnt work for internet radio . l v d a t a a t c o x d o t n n o s p a m e t remove nospam and make normal for private reply ive picked up an xm satellite receiver for the truck and am wondering if anyone has come up with a good way of mounting the antenna on the roof. im not so much concerned about the antenna seeing as how it has a strong magnetic base but i would like to somehow hide the wire. as it is now the wire basically drapes on the roof and is tucked alongside the windshield ran down the side of the door frame and into the cab. drilling a hole in the roof is an option i guess but there has to be a better way. i thought of a small bead of white silicon the truck is white to hold the wire in place or maybe i could find some very strong weather resistant tape to secure the wire but would like to hear what others have done with similar situations. thanks david... .

little black thing with buttons on it that you can put on your key ring. most cars made in the last five years came with one. you use it to lock/unlock the doors with. most new vehicles now only have a key hole for the drivers door... everything else is done via the remote keyless entry. did they not give you the key fob along with the ignition key fob .
