whenever the speedo stops working i can hit the reset knob and all at once the speedo works fine. leads me to thinking something wrong in the speedo head. trent wrote i dont know if yours is electronic speedo or not but the speedo gead is plastic and if it is chewed up it wont work .mine was half chewed up and worked sometimes. on oct 24 1255 pm brian bria...@skybest.com wrote got a 92 ram 150 5.2lauto 4x4. last week the speedometer started not reading. guys at auto zone said it was speed sensor on the tranny so i replaced it and still having trouble. its works half the time. this past week it works every morning but in the afternoon coming home it dont work but somtimes i can restart the truck and it will work. any help would be good. thanks i had a 99 and it was located on the rear axle upper side if i remember correctly .

kickbo@gmail.com says... ill have to keep an eye out for that when im test driving it. i read in another forum some guy who was like 64 and said that he found it more comfortable than some other mid-sizes though he did not list his shoe size! ; on dec 6 1145 pm carolina watercraft works coolt...@bellsouth.net wrote you do know you should take your skis off before you hop in the drivers seat right -- ------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi ----cool toys formerly carolina watercraft works ----mack daddy trailers ----ice angels i sat in one a few hours ago while my truck was being serviced. i couldnt stand one myself my size 13.5 shoes made me very uncomfortable in it. i had about 1 room between my left shoe and the brake pedal and my foot kept hitting the brake pedal when i was working the throttle. i couldnt really move my feet around and after a few minutes i was done. i kind of liked it other than that. seems like the footwell is very very small. try it out it might not bother you if youre on the smaller side. i kind of liked it except for the footwell problem. i was just looking while i waited on my truck being checked out its sucking a qt of oil every 600 miles all of a sudden. running fine no pings or check engine light or blue smoke. they checked it over and found no leaks as expected since the only thing that ever leaked out of it was power steering fluid due to the hose getting cut somehow. looked like a rock hit it to me. so now they are monitoring my oil consumption. i think its going to be a major deal rings or something. i dont know where its going its got to be burning it somewhere since the coolant is clear. the tailpipe is clean rubbing my fingers in it produces hardly anything at all. my garage floor is totally dry. i moved over to the charger srt-8 and that was more like it but damn its so ugly wtf was dc thinking when they designed it. they could have hit a home run if they made it look ok. ive heard the next charger will look a lot better but i have to see it first. a charger would be more comfortable and somewhat more practical but unless its a killer i plan on getting a challenger during the second or third year they make them. bdk my boss was thinking about one for his wife but when i told him how tight it was he crossed that one off his list. he wears size 16 shoes! i would like to see him get in one just for the laugh. bdk .

would you recommend running an engine flush kerosene through to clean out the sludge cleaning out the sludge might cause some oil leaks. sometimes when gaskets get old and cracked sludge creeps in there to fill the voids. when you clean the sludge out the gaskets start leaking. id leave it alone. -- ken .

as the son of a photographer im not sure youre making any sense. may we have a little more detail please supposing the license plate is black letters on white plate. and so the negative is white numbers on a black plate. would that be any harder to read -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. it does work but the company only needs to reverse the negative to see the numbers on the plate. .

ok. after i reinstalled the plug wires with the proper convolute and routing 98% of the knock is gone. i had previously rerouted the wires per all data but i didnt have the convolute at the time. the previous owner had the wires routed all wrong. hopefully there wasnt much engine damage from premature crossfire. the oil pressure goes to the lower end of the range but within the operating range. one more thing would you recommend running an engine flush kerosene through to clean out the sludge the 5.9l has 100000 on it now and there is a littler lifter noise at higher rpms. i bought the truck with 97000 on it and when i changed the oil the first time the gauge dropped to 0 psi and the check gauges light went on and wouldnt work at idle until i replaced the oil sending unit.. it must have been a coincidence that the oil pressure sensor was bad but functioning until the new filter put increased pressure on the oil sending unit. i have read in several other forums that the dodge dakota has been known to have oil pressure problems. however it didnt really indicate which engines had the problem. it seemed the 3.9l was mentioned more than the others. i have the materials for the oil change but wanted your opinion on the flush first. thanks for making me go back and finish the wire routing with convolute. after many years working on engines i couldnt believe the wire routing would cause that much knock. it definately sounded like mechanical damage! thanks again ken! dj dj wrote from dj spirithorsenospam@adelphia.net subject 97 dodge dakota oil pressure drop when warm date wednesday december 06 2006 1230 pm 97 dodge dakota 4x4 5.2l i have been chasing this oil pressure problem around and decided to see what this group thinks. the op is 40+ when started and remains until normal operating temperature is achieved. it then drops down to 20psi or the low range on the gauge but not below the lower limit indicator. when under acceleration or load it sounds like lifter rattle. i replaced the sending unit because the old one wouldnt read the low signal and dropped the gauge to 0psi. new filter and oil 20w-50 florida and still not maintaining the pressure when normal operating temp. i read a post on a web site that explained the thrust bearing was bad which allowed a 1/8 shift in the crank position and after replacing the thrust bearing and i would expect the rest of the mains the oil pressure drop when warm disappeared. i would think that if the thrust bearing was bad that it would have the pressure problem even when the engine was cold or just warming up. i can drive it 45 55 and the pressure still remains at 40+ until it reaches n.o.t. and then drops to the lower range of the gauge 20psi. that makes me think along the lines of a viscosity problem or a pump that has worn impellers. ie. the oil remains thick enough for the pump to work at lower temperatures but as soon as the oil is hot and the viscosity drops the problem surfaces. any comments on your experiences with fixing this problem would be appreciated. remove no spam to email dj that oil pressure drop sounds normal to me. if it were mine id put 10w-30 back in it and check the pressure again. if i still had 20 psi at idle hot id be happy. the lifter rattle noise may be caused by the spark plug wire routing. try this http//autorepair.about.com/library/a/1h/bl654h.htm -- ken .

roy wrote i think that the product is bs. but the law you reference i believe has to do with the dark plastic plate covers. the body part is probably the boot over the plate on the bike. in arizona the law simply states that no device covering the license can be used. it has exceptions for when the license is legally displayed through the back window. photo radar tickets in arizona can be beaten...sorta. the state has 120 days to serve a notice. if you ignore the letter mailed and you can avoid the server tracking you down then the ticket will be dismissed. .
