Should I buy a new 2007 with older 5.9L Diesel?

From : huff

Q: ok well i answered my own question.. i went out and took the other door apart.. i was able to get all the screws out of the door panel after using the other as a model.. i then just yanked the door panel out from the inside. the panel is the one thing thats heavy duty about this vans body. there is a little plastic tit on the end of a lever that apparently applies all the force to the latch to open it regardless of which handle you use to open the door. this tit fell out of the latch when i probed it with a screwdriver. i had to use the shank of a drill bit to manually release the latch from inside the door. upon opening the door i found that the bottom two mounting screws were about to rip the metal completely off the door. someone rear-ended this van at some point so im assuming this could have been caused partially by the accident. what kills me is that the metal is the thickness of a sapporo can. is there a newer part that superseded this piece of trash door latch seriously my family has owned a dodge van in one form or another for my whole life and while the drivers doors may have sagged and been hard to open occasionally the latch mounts have *never* ripped off the door.. progress huh lol .

i suppose the one thing that i would want to add would be the exhaust brake. it is not listed as an available option. i have heard that dodge will void portions of the warranty if an exhaust brake is used with certain transmissions on certain years. see http//www.everytime.cummins.com/every/applications/ram59braking.jsp -- ken .

suddenly without warning bob m exclaimed 9/21/2007 325 am jmc wrote suddenly without warning carolina watercraft works exclaimed 9/20/2007 556 am or not!!! damn code came back on.....underneath i go.............. yea for me it stayed off until i filled the tank... then it came back on. gas cap was the first thing i tried as well. jurys still out whether itll stay off after the mechanic found a cracked hose in my 01 dak it was a hose on the right side of the engine only about a foot long or so; i havent filled the tank since the repair was made. originally i thought vacuum had returned but i was mistaken. still no pssst when i remove the gas cap. jmc by right side do you mean drivers side or passengers side im looking for the same thing on a friends truck. thanks. bob drivers side back toward the firewall. i suspect it was cracked underneath cause i looked for cracks a while back from above and didnt find any. its above where the manifold was replaced which is why i suspect it was noticed from below. jmc .

on thu 20 sep 2007 163232 -0700 huff miles@huffords.phxcoxmail.com wrote the invoice date is 11/29/2006 which is odd to me for a new truck. does this mean this truck has been sitting on the lot for this long seems unusual. or it was sold and financing fell through and returned. will have to check on that. invoice date was pretty much when it was shipped to dealer. i have seen some that have sat longer. warranty starts day of purchase not invoice and since it has been there for a while you may be able to squeak out a even better deal from them. ----------------- thesnoman.com .

i never ever see this light. ambient temp is above 66f but i expected to see it when i first turn the key and all other lights illuminate for a few seconds. do i have a bulb out on my new 2007 ram i never see my coil light come on until around 15c 62f. i was told there are no more glow plugs just coils. the coil light is in the 7 oclock position on the dash just below the tach. it looks like a little coil and is yellow. wayne .
