Q: on position and i received a code that was c code 23 97.... any input would be great thanks...mars.. according to my 94 - 01 haynes manual says this code applies to 94 - 97 23 - intake air temp sensor input is out of range either high or low no - the c codes are cluster codes. remember that the 02 1500s are 3rd gen trucks and the instrument cluster runs just about everything in the cab. this particular code 23 is a headlamp switch input circuit open and it happened 97 ignition cycles ago in other words its a nuisance code - ignore it the p1491 code indeed refers to the cooling fan relay control circuit. .

at idle or when driving louder when driving fast or slow louder when speeding up or slowing down at idle with the hood up does it sound like front of truck back of engine or which side -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. my dakota is making some sort of howling noise and i cant figure out what it is. ive checked all of the nessesary fluids under the hood and feel it may be coming from under neath yet i checked the u joints and they are fine. it may me the rear end needs new gear oil. i would like a second opinion. if anyone know what it possibly could be please help me. .

i have a 95 ram auto diesel that wont go into 4th odi purchased 2 tbs and speed sensor and a headachchanged trans filter and fluid.can it be my ecmany help would be appreciated. bob for the cost of the parts you have already replaced you could have purchased a factory service manual. the problem could be the transmission temperature sensor since youre shotgunning the problem with parts you could try replacing it or you could get a book and do some real troubleshooting. .
