Seat Belt dash light

Q: i have a 1990 dodge dakota with 198000 miles that still runs remarkably well. there is one minor glitch that i find a little irritating. the seat belt light on the dash stays on all the time the igniton is on. can anyone here give me a hint as to how to correct it besides removing the indicator light. oldtimer .
