find out what the fuel adaptive memory is +10 0r - 10 would be indicating a fuel problem in other words if you had a high + number it would mean the computer sees a really lean condition and trying to richen it up. such as a vacuum leak. if it were a high - number it would indicate that the system is running extremely rich and trying to lean it out such as a fuel pump/inject bad glenn beasley chrysler tech when i go back to the dealership what specifically should i have them check there are no lights going off and the truck seems to be operating fine. the only problem is the fuel useage. i wll have them check the sending unit and the coolant temp sensor but i would assume that would have been checked already. if you are burning that much fuel all the monitors should be going crazy and turning the engine lite on!! is this vehicle having a fuel sending unit problem that is registering wrong if the dealer looked at it the tech should have been able to go into adaptive fuel memory assuming he knows how to read the scanner that value alone would tell you if the engine is having a problem and if it were burning that much fuel it would be running really bad i would look into the sending unit glenn beasley chrysler tech i have a 1999 ram with a 318 auto and 180 000 kms. recently the truck started using tons of fuel. its maintenance has been kept up and i am the original owner. recently took to dodge dealer and was checked on their computer. it showed their was no codes. the 02 sensor comes up as being fine. the truck shows no changes in performance just fuel economy. the truck is burning aprox 1/4 tank per 50 miles. any ideas .
