Q: steve@carolinabreezehvac wrote fast update...nothing since last time other than i am gonna be a granpa again in january and its been busy as hell. also..budd..your sons in the military...what in hell is a tiger cruise im supposed to get a flight to hawaii and roll back into san diego on the bonhomme-richard. sounds like fun.. a tiger cruise is where a service member is allowed to invite a family member onboard to travel from the last port call to their home port. usually it is the guys and they bring their father or son onboard. they also have what is called a dependents cruise where the ship goes out for one full day and you can bring your entire family onboard if you wish. i didnt even know they had commissioned another bonnie dick since the last one was decommissioned in 1971. shes a good size ship youll enjoy the ride. jerry .

when i go back to the dealership what specifically should i have them check there are no lights going off and the truck seems to be operating fine. the only problem is the fuel useage. i wll have them check the sending unit and the coolant temp sensor but i would assume that would have been checked already. if you are burning that much fuel all the monitors should be going crazy and turning the engine lite on!! is this vehicle having a fuel sending unit problem that is registering wrong if the dealer looked at it the tech should have been able to go into adaptive fuel memory assuming he knows how to read the scanner that value alone would tell you if the engine is having a problem and if it were burning that much fuel it would be running really bad i would look into the sending unit glenn beasley chrysler tech i have a 1999 ram with a 318 auto and 180 000 kms. recently the truck started using tons of fuel. its maintenance has been kept up and i am the original owner. recently took to dodge dealer and was checked on their computer. it showed their was no codes. the 02 sensor comes up as being fine. the truck shows no changes in performance just fuel economy. the truck is burning aprox 1/4 tank per 50 miles. any ideas .

my 2001 ram 2500 also does that in cold weather. i had it into the shop but they couldnt duplicate it or figure out what it was. a cold belt would be my guess as well. jr you are probably right. i have heard belts squeal before but this sound was i thought different. we will see as they say. thanks for the input. d. haas dave i live up here in cary and drive an 03 1500 and i didnt notice any wierd noises when starting but i grew up in new england and on cold winter mornings you could here squealing coming from all over the neigborhood as everyone ran out in the their pajamas and boots to get their cars warmed up. the good is it will be near 70 tomorrow so you will have an opportunity to make sure it was just a southern belt that wasnt used to yankee weather! dan benedix howling motor sports www.howlingmotorsports.com an independant amsoil dealer view our new online quote tool! its fast easy and actually kind of fun i have a 2004 dakota 4x4 with a v8 engine and automatic trans. the other morning when the temp. was 18 f this is the first time it has been that cold this year in fayetteville nc it made the weirdest noise when revving the engine. it was a high pitched squeak or like finger nails on a black board and fairly loud. at first i though it was the radio but it came from under the hood. a good title for a horror movie after the car warmed up the sound disappeared. it had never done this before. seems to be a cold weather phenomena. anybody have a similar experience or idea what is going on its just plain weird. dave -----------== posted via feed.com - uncensored usenet ==---------- http//www.feed.com the #1 group service in the world! -----= over 100000 groups - unlimited fast downloads - 19 servers =----- .
