dry and arid unless it rains similar to parts of co and ut possibly its rust from the factory possibly the dealers prep guy got it wet cleaning it for delivery / display. possibilities are numerous. pull the seat separate the bracket sand to remove rust and spray with rust-o-leum or take it to the dealer and see if theyll do it. budd ex-dealer prep guy and bracket painter south central texas in the hill country northwest of san antonio. gary budd cochran wrote first where are you local weather factors are very important when it comes to the cause of rust. budd i have a 2003 ram 1500 bought new in sept 2003. has been garaged almost every night since. i have noticed that the metal structure under the seats is completely rusted over. yet the metal connecting the seats to the floor is not. has anyone else noticed this could vehicle have been in a flood why only the seat structure and not the mounting gary .

thanks. you led me in the right direction. it was the amp ground wire that wasnt prperly connected. if you have the infinity speakers then the problem is the speaker amp is not being turned on. you need to connect the caravans amp power on wire to your new stereos remote power on line. db wrote i have a 6 speaker set up what are the wires for the door speakers. i cant get them to work with my new radio. drew --- outgoing mail is certified virus free. checked by avg anti-virus system http//www.grisoft.com. version 6.0.740 / virus database 494 - release date 16/08/2004 .
