Replace 'P' series tire with 'LT', what pressure?

From : sh

Q: i have just installed a set of lt265/75/r16 dunlop radial rover rv/xt load range e tires on my 2001 dodge ram 4wd club cab 1500. i am looking for the recommended tire pressures to run in these tires for normal highway use not carrying any significant load. my understanding is that i should be running higher pressures in these tires than in the original p series tire of the same size which was 35 psi front and rear. anyone running lts on their half ton care to share what pressure they are running cheers .

i run the 285/75r16s e rated on my half ton with the pressures set at 40 psi front and rear. when i put the snow plow on the fronts go to 50 psi. denny the front right might go to 50 psi when you put the plow on. but with you in the drivers seat the left front and rear go to 65 psi. bfg and the cheap shot artist takes another shot!! i understand youre not putting the plow on this winter. all the hot air coming out of the drivers window doing too good of a job bg denny .

i just installed lt 265/70/16 on my dakota and was told to run them at 35. i could lower them to 32 if the ride was to harsh but not to go below 32. lts are stiffer tires than ps so you will notice a decrease in ride comfort. kevin i run the 285/75r16s e rated on my half ton with the pressures set at 40 psi front and rear. when i put the snow plow on the fronts go to 50 psi. denny i have just installed a set of lt265/75/r16 dunlop radial rover rv/xt load range e tires on my 2001 dodge ram 4wd club cab 1500. i am looking for the recommended tire pressures to run in these tires for normal highway use not carrying any significant load. my understanding is that i should be running higher pressures in these tires than in the original p series tire of the same size which was 35 psi front and rear. anyone running lts on their half ton care to share what pressure they are running cheers .
