it is a rather unique relay in the way it operates. a fine resistance wire is wrapped around the outside of a bimetal contact arm that is engerized when the door switch is closed. this heats the arm and causes it to flex and close the contact to hold the halo and courtesy lights on. the delay comes from the time it takes the arm to cool off and open. i know cleaning the contacts wont last for ever but it should help for a while. .
