yep we have good shops around. we have a couple good racetracks circle and dragstrip. but everybody is chevy chevy chevy so i thought i would ask a mopar group how to get this mopar rig rocking and rolling. if you are talking about a rebuild maybe i should rebuild a 440. there is nothing quite like cubic inches. i think a supercharger might be a bit pricy for this unit. how silly would nitrous be i click it on going up the hills and off any other time. thanks for responding. ill be waiting for your suggestions. thanks again. bill with only 28k on it your engine is a prime candidate for a tow / go rebuild or you can go to a supercharger. let me dig up some specs for you and don and get you both motoring along like a mopar should. are you near automotive machining services like a shop that can balance the rotating assembly budd last fall i purchased an old 1977 dodge one ton motorhome. it has a 360 holly 2bbl 727 trans and i believe a 4.10 rearend. i live in idaho and have taken it a few times fishing in the mountains. it really needs some help climbing the hills. i get slowed down to 30 mph on a couple of the longer taller hills. the darn thing only has 26000 miles on it and as far as i can tell with the exception of dual exhaust it is completely stock. i am thinking of running it across a scale to see how heavy this thing is. where would you start to give the old girl a bit more oomph because it is the van body i am not sure how much room there is for stuff like headers and high rise manifolds but would be willing to look at most any add on like that. would a different cam be worth the trouble anybody make headers that would fit it would be nice to drop in a 440 but how much trouble would that be thanks in advance bill first decide what you plan for it. towing general use or just dads ol fishin truck. then choose the rebuild to suit. for example if you plan to tow a large camping trailer then go with a minimum overbore a better cam talk to the cam grinder better pistons maybe an align bore and balance the rotating assembly. a better exhaust will help a bunch as well. dont go for all horsepower or all torque on the cam grind. or if youre just going to drive out to the fishing hole towing a small boat then go with as stock as possible. it doesnt have to cost a lot or tie the truck up for weeks. are you planning to do your own wrenching or farm it out budd. ok the old 360 has a lot of miles is using a good bit of oil and needs a couple of other things.i want to rering it do valve job on heads at the very least. what else do i need to do to get back to good running order .

most 360-using-oil problems is valve guides pull the heads then make a decision on whether to go further into it weve got an 84 b-350 with 249k+ on the original engine ring ridge at top of cylinder was only 0.012 at 154 k so we just had heads done and its still going ok the old 360 has a lot of miles is using a good bit of oil and needs a couple of other things.i want to rering it do valve job on heads at the very least. what else do i need to do to get back to good running order .
