i think it was me who previously asked and got an answer. nope - it was the same guy... posted the exact same question 3 days ago and was told essentially the same thing. in fact he even mis-spelled grease in both posts. .

what is the correct rear end gease level for my 94 dodge ram 2500 gvw 8800 4 x 2 torq-lok. didnt you post this once before and already get an answer its gear oil not grease. any gear lube meeting the gl-5 spec will be fine. for normal use a 75w90 oil will be fine. if you tow heavy you may want to go to a 75w140 oil. either way the diff should be filled until the oil is at the bottom of the fill plug hole. if you have a v8 engine this will be a little over 3 quarts. if you have a v10 or diesel with an automatic trans it will take about 4 quarts. if you have a v10 or diesel with a manual it will take about 5 quarts. since you have the factory limited slip you will also need to add friction modifier to the oil. this is sold separately and can be picked up at any parts store that sells gear oil. you need about 8oz. of friction modifier. add the modifier into the diff first then top off with oil. .
