Real Puzzle - Fluid leak

Q: well maybe. do you have a meter that will read dc voltage if so you can get a good idea. here is one easy check you can do. =46irst read the voltage at the battery terminal posts when the ignition = is turned off it should read around 12.3-12.7 volts dc then start the = vehicle & check the voltage it should read around 12.8-13.6 volts dc if it is reading in the 15-16 volt range your voltage regulator is = cooking the battery. now to check & see if the voltage regulator is truly staying in the = charge mode too long is not worth your time to monitor how long it is engaged = versus the true charge state of the battery & whether it the battery requires = to be charged at that time. leave that to a reputable repair shop but they = would probably just change out the voltage regulator instead of wasting the = time. i hope that helps you out. on thu 17 mar 2005 091852 -0600 slick willy = ddumbassbendover@yahoo.com wrote kurt mrwizard@comcast.net wrote in sounds to me that your voltage regulator is over charging your battery this is why you are low on electrolyte. =20 is there a way to test that at my house or is this a case where i have = to=20 take it to a garage and have them run a test =20 1997 sfa 60920 199819992000200120022003 ama 602785 due to e-mail spamming bots my reply address is incorrect. add a - between mr and wizard this is what we have to do to prevent spamming sucks doesnt it .

had a 94 v10 and within eighteen 18 months it was on its fifth 5 intake manifold gasket before dodge folks got it right. i just sold the truck about two weeks following ivans visit here and the engine was as tough as it initially was. no problems with the engine. -- pcolaphil to reply remove -spamnot- he who will not risk cannot win. - - john paul jones | | | ouch!! no wonder they are so cheap in the auto trader now days! | | question. i have been told the v10s are not very reliable.. something about | the head gasket i have no idea if this is true or not. does anyone know | anything about this or is it just some chevy owner fib | | .

i will keep hunting for it i guess. thanks for the offer. well in that case id spray everything down with engine degreaser clean it up real good and coat the whole area with some talcum powder. run the truck for a bit then look for fluid traces left in the powder. either that or put some leak detection dye in the p/s resevoir and go at the underside with a black light in about a weeks time - but thats assuming youre right and it really is p/s fluid. .

ok so heres proof that its just way too wet in england my black line-x liner is going green. regular washing doesnt change that. any suggestions on how i can get rid of the moss lichen or whatever is growing in my bed washing my truck is much like grooming a horse - gives me a chance to find all those little nicks and whatnot hiding under all that dirt. its been a very hard winter on the poor dak. it stays damp here in the winter literally for weeks at a time and they grit which has salt almost nightly because the frost is thick enough to make the roads slick much like black ice. aaugh. shes got more rust than a 2001 should have underneath. but the dragon is now clean and shiny and waxed i even shined up the chrome and theres no rain predicted at least until monday. and its sunny and warm well for here anyway. ive started gardening and broke out the lawn chairs hubby just mowed the lawn... life is good. but the bed is still attempting to match the rest of the truck and that just cannot be allowed to happen. suggestions needed! jmc .
