Radio losing presets

From : tux in a ram

Q: 97 dodge ram with the stock am/fm/cd reciever. i have been having problems with it losing the presets to the stations. driving me crazy as i lose all the stations and have to reprogram it. the clock keeps the time though... that is what is puzzling me. i would think if it lost one it would lose both. the only thing i can think of is if the battery is going just low enough to lose the presets but not to lose the time. does this sound possible ill probably go get the battery tested this afternoon to make sure. any other solutions you can think of .

tbone wrote they are still fuel and air compressed and detonated and the explosive result captured and converted into mechanical energy and the physics behind this is the same as always. the great t-bone shares his incredible automotive knowledge again. yeah tom you really understand how engines work. how could anyone doubt that you are the ultimate authority in how internal explosion engines work. btw when was the last one of these internal explosion engines made around 1895 wasnt it when they discovered powdered coal wasnt a good fuel because it exploded instead of burning as i remember the article obtained from the smithsonian it darn near killed the inventor. while explosions are a form of combustion it has no place in a gasoline engine. the fuel/air mixture burns extremely rapidly it does not explode mr. automotive genius. is this one of the basic things about engines you claim i dont know rotflmbo!!! no i dont need to say anymore about it you just hung yourself. budd .

ive always use qs. my ranger had 198000 miles with no engine problems ever. my dakota now has 125oo. still goes strong. quaker state has always done right by me. thewanderer wrote baed on a person i know that used both those oils in his 83 chevy pick up in which the engine had to be replaced 3 times in the 10 years he owned it because of serious oil sludge buildup. i know he changed the oil often also. i saw one time when the heads were removed. looked like the next placed to dig for coal. thewanderer wrote probably been using quaker state or penns oil and you base that on what jerry been using penns oil for the last 30 years on all my gasoline engine cars and trucks. never had or saw the problem you describe. actually the few times i removed the valve covers the inside of the cover and valves looked like new. jerry .
