Q: lol my agent for progressive asked when my last accident was1981 and i was rear ended at a stop light and said really thats longer than anyone else we insure. and quoted $35 / mo for pd pl on the d-150.yep it still pays to be a good driver. it stayed the same for the lebaron. cool. thats about 1/2 of what i pay but i am insuring two cars and took a rather high maximum. in todays world it doesnt pay to take chances and yes it does pay to be a good driver. i remember when i was just 21 and bought my first new car i was paying roughly 1/12th the premium that a good friend was paying for a similar car. i was paying $285 / year for my 68 road runner insured with state farm. but that was before no-fault and mandatory insurance . . . and he was a lousy driver. mandatory insurance can be a pita but if you own anything you need it anyway. -- budd its not important to me to listen to you whine about who won or lost. just for you tom. dont you feel special yep but you are gonna hear it for the next four years anyway - only because you cant accept the decision of the majority. i did accept it budd he won and there is no question about that and im going to get behind him just like the right got behind clinton. ill just have to set up a filter for your keywords and if that dont work killfile you. no you wont. we didnt killfile each other when we were treating the other one like shit so i doubt that either on of us will do it now that we are hopefully past that. face it budd we are both just too curious to hear what the other person has to say and at times we both just like to argue. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

....well maybe not storing but i am leaving it at a hotel for almost 2 months. i have a choice between parking 1 under a covering upper deck of hotel parking deck or 2 outside. ive always left my truck outside on my 4-6 week trips through snowstorms etc. and never noticed any problem. now that im leaving it for longer in the middle of winter im wondering how much better is the covering parking deck than non-covering. it will snow a few times maybe heavy but is that bad for it the snow will stay on the truck of course. there are some disadvantages to the covered area...one is that there are signs all over that say compact cars only but i see an suv there and several large cars. apparently its a weight issue not parking-space size. i asked someone at the front desk and she said a normal pickup is probably ok. however im still leery about it especially if some other manager sees it and gets pissed off while im gone for 2 months...so in that sense id prefer not putting there. so is parking it outside worse its going to be the same temperature thats for sure. .

sounds like percy got you a good one. in the pomona neighborhood i lived in back in 57 you could wander from yard to yard and get any fruit you wanted as long as you left some from your yard. we had grapefruit and lemons. -- budd cochran mr-d150@citlinkspam.net wrote to be honest i wouldnt want to live there . . .too hot in the summer. when i was a kid my family drove thru flagstaff going and coming from ca and both times mom gave us kids wet towels to keep us cool 53 chevy no ac. and i got sick of orange trees grapefruit trees lemon trees etc. in so cal in 57. bg we were driving through some residential area in scotsdale with my friend percy from portland. along the roadway were these small sized orange trees that lined the driveway into this one area. on the trees were these nice big oranges. percy stopped the car looked around and said no one is watching he told me to run out and steal an orange. i got back into the car and dug into this orange. it had an awful thick orange peel but so what it was the center part i wanted. took one big bite and it was the most sour tasting thing i have ever had. shit ole percy is just a laughing. here these were oranmental trees just for looks and not eating. i kinda of wondered why no one else is stealing these oranges before i took mine. thats why these trees still had oranges on them. dale .
