on thu 8 may 2008 103322 -0400 tbone noway@nothere.com wrote if you have to take it for emissions inspection any time soon doing that will cause you to fail as there are some long term tests that need to be completed and passed by the computer that will be reset and restarted by disconnecting the battery or even just clearing codes. that does depend on the state and the methods they use... here in nh you can clear the codes and immediately run the emissions and pass it. other states the various monitors must be run to completion usually a complete drive cycle to pass--it varies. best bet if you have to do emissions is to clear the codes about a week before. if they come back quickly theres a problem you probably will have to address. if not you are just plain lucky! .

hello is there a web site that will list the parts interchangeability for the various years of dodge trucks i need to replace the truck bed of my 2002 ctd 3500 4x4 dually. ideally i would like to find a truck bed of the same year at a reasonable price but have not been able to yet. visually a 1995 through 2002 looks the same but i would prefer to know for sure before finding out that the bolt holes do not line up properly. final question how easy are the truck beds to take on and off what i would prefer to do is remove my truck bed drive to where the replacement one is and then just bolt it on and drive home. is that a reasonable expectation thanks cj == .

my last and never again ford had a transmission failure at 62000 miles. rear wiper motor shot at 41000 abs brake sensing rotor broke at 30000. got ford to cover the transmission for all but $650. but i will never buy another ford again. never had the issues with my chrysler products like i did with ford. gyzmologist wrote ma wrote http//www.daimlerchryslervehicleproblems.com/ mike i know what you mean. i think youd be much better off with a ford. i had a 98 mustang that i bought new so i know this is the one for you. i bought my last dodge in 1999; it was a used 98 stratus es and had a little over 32k miles. you know everyone thinks that american made cars are crap and especially dodge cars. i must be really stupid because i still have the car. it now has 139652 miles and i think an o2 sensor is starting to fail because my gas mileage has dropped a couple mpg. the brakes only lasted to 100k miles and ive had to replace the battery twice now. everything else is original so it is like driving a time bomb!!! damn crappy dodge. .

roy wrote agree its a buyers market. last month i purchased a 2008 ram 2500 quad cab long bed 4x4 out the door for $10k below msrp. however it did take 4 days of negotiation. good deal but 4 days the dealer i use is no bs no fuss it is what it is. i doubt ive spent more than a one hour doing a deal with them. oh the dealer is elmwood dodge in ri yea i know. my first choice dealer that i wanted was no b.s. and no fuss. i told him over the phone what i was looking for with all my options etc. he then sent me an email saying the cost will be xxxx amount out the door. exactly what i was looking for cost and all! however the truck i wanted with options etc. was very rare in my area for over 300 miles non desiel. the only place that was local was this one other dealer. my first choice dealer tried to make a trade but they just wouldnt do it. i almost i *should* have ordered from the factory using this dealer. next time i will. ya gotta do what ya gotta do some times. .

i pulled this code on my 04 dakota 4.7l quad cab. i think when i gassed her up i didnt properly close the cap. the light is on in my display. if i disconnect the battery for a while the light will turn off and i can re-check the code correct if no code than i should be good to go right or does the computer store the code and i will still get it just want to be sure it will clear if in fact it was my own carelessness and e problem doesnt exist and not flag me to replace a part i dont need too. cecil .

07 ram 1500 4x4; would like to lower my 4x4 sport... the earlier one were easy with radius arms- any know how to lower 1-2 in the front --- added an intake and 3 dual outlet muffler gained betwee 3-5mpg averaging around 18-19 on the road cruise set and 65-76 mph. .

thanks for the responses. i cleaned the battery terminals and that seems to have fixed the problem. thanks 1999 dodge ram 318 will not idle. if i keep rpms above about 1000 it runs fine. below that and the engine dies. any thoughts thanks .

the p3 can be mounted at any vertical angle unlike the prodigy which must be no more than 60 degrees or so. are you certain i could have sworn it read it msut be horizontally mounted. thanks nathan in montana http//concealedcarryforum.com .
