From : high sierra

msyjsy wrote check the muffler to see if it reduces. i just changed mine on the dakota. it was restricted from 3 down to 2.5 and then back out to 3 at the pipe. exhaust is now 3 all the way through it made a very noticeable difference . thanks .

slap a k&n filter on it. you might want to put slick 50 in it too. next id try the magnet on the fuel line to line up those ornery gas molecules. drill some holes in the body to lighten it up. if you drill the holes in the right spots you can get a rendention of beethovens fifth whistled to you at around 73 mph. glad i could help. high sierra wrote i will be purchasing a 1996 ram 1500 club cab 4x4 with the 318 engine in the near future. this truck works fine but could use a little more power. any easy inexpensive changes other than a tune-up that will give her some more pep .

i hae the same truck less the club cab and noticed when i had duals out the back with no mufflers it had a little more ass behind it. couldnt take the noise anymore so i put a single with muffler...but now i can enjoy my stereo a little easier. i will be purchasing a 1996 ram 1500 club cab 4x4 with the 318 engine in the near future. this truck works fine but could use a little more power. any easy inexpensive changes other than a tune-up that will give her some more pep .
