dont forget the toggle switches under the dash for the brake lights and license plate light. seen a few flashing lights disappear in the gravel dust behind me when all of a sudden the brake lights dont come on to signal a turn on a gravel road. that was in my younger years of course. gary carter dennis b. wrote ... when the brights are turned on arent the fog lights supposed to go out on most vehicles the fog lights go off when the brights are turned on... for those vehicles that do not have that feature they have a switch that controls the fog lights independently from the main lights... i tend to prefer having my fog lights running off of a completely seperate switch so that *i* can control when they are turned on... then again i also like to be able to manually override my backup lights... come to think of it i would prefer a row of switches that controlled every electrical item in the vehcile... and while were at it lets get rid of these wimpy-ass plastic dashes / instrument panels... i want my dash / instrument panel to be made out of 1/8 aluminum diamondplate... .

thanks for your reply. the kit came with a separate switch. as far as wiring the only wire that tied into the truck wire harness was one wire that spliced into the parking light hot wire. when i put the fog light kit in my 2001 ram 1500 i spliced a hot wire and 2 grounds. i dont remember what they were but one was in the engine compartment and the other was under the steering wheel in the cab. -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .
