Q: these are the same idiots who had trouble making an engine that didnt rattle slap and click and blow up on its own and their dealers claim its perfectly normal. not a snowballs chance in hell am i going to listen to them. -tony trey wrote what are the oil change intervals with amsoil 12-20k miles or once a year ill tell you what that little book in the glove compartment called a owners manual says.................. it states even if you use synthetic oils you should follow the guide lines in the book. who do you want to trust the life of your engine to the maker of a mystery oil or the people who designed and built your engine jerry fark. my little black book says 5000 between changes. im still hesitant. still wedded to 3k 3 months intervals. but follow the book anyway. after all the oil motorcraft 5w-20 comes out at 5k a clear honey color simular to how it looked going in. plasyd 03 ford ranger 2.3l 5 speed 30-35 mpg. .
