ups i forgot to mention. 1998 dodge dakota v6 2.9 liter. on jan 29 1231 pm bla...@worldweb.com bla...@worldweb.com wrote hi i found a hold in my y exhaust pipe and it seems no one makes it without having to go to the dealer. anyhow i found one at a used parts store and was thinking about replacing it myself. there only is four bolts from what i can tell that need to be removed. anyhow i dont have the deep sockets so will need to buy the correct size socket for this job does anyone know what size this would be that is for the four nuts that connect the y exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold. thanks. .

i have a 7/70 on my 05. its a 4.7. has more power than the 95 5.2 i had. seems to me plenty of power. its a regular cab two wheel drive long bed. i had an 02 quad cab 4x4 5.9 gas. nice truck till you had to put gas in it. i dont think you would want the 4.7 in a 4x4 quad cab. ed im looking to buy a quad cab four wheel drive dodge ram short bed. a place down the road has a couple nice ones at decent prices. imo the 4.7l isnt enough engine for a full-size truck. also the 03 is still covered under the factory 7/70 powertrain warranty. by 05 i think dc did away with the 7/70 if it were me id go with the 5.7l .

how long does it actually take for a lifter to collapse when the oil supply is interrupted dodge claims 40ms to switch from 8-to-4 or 4-to-8 also is the oil turned off and on by one solenoid valve or one for each cylinder 4 or one for each valve 8 4 solenoid valves are these interruptors easy to replace when they get gummed up or malfunction the solenoids theyre under the intake manifold - once the manifold is off they just unbolt. .
