Q: body damp but not enough to drip. do i need to replace the injector or can it be repaired probably just need to tighten the nut a bit. dont go crazy trying to cinch it down but see if you cant get an 1/8 of a turn or so out of it also if yes to either of the above does this need to be done immediately soon or only if it gets worse any kind of fuel leak around an engine is dangerous and should be fixed asap. .

have no idea what the deal is but went out tuesday morning at 0430 with plans to call dealer for service appointment from work jumped into truck started her up and maintenance required lamp was off after she fired up. not having the good sense to let sleeping dogs lie i shut her down and did the three cycle thing with the ignition and got the same two codes. figured well the lamp will come on again when i fire it up but to my joy it stayed off. came home and from work and pulled up the service manual pdf found that if the the exact same conditions occur and the malfunction does not happen then the computer will turn the lamp off but it will hold the code for around two thousand cycles of what i have not figured out yet then erase it. dang things have gotten to smart for us old cressent wrench and pliers mechanics. really makes me wonder what is stored in there that we dont know about like maybe that i drove a total of 5 miles in two years without the seat belt hooked up. yep when i move the truck from the front yard to the backyard i dont put the belt on heck its only 300ft down my sideyard and i dont go over 5mph anyway. on mon 20 dec 2004 233802 gmt yqcbbf@whab.pbz thats me wrote 03 qc 5.7l hemi 17k miles cold and icy today in eastern nc truck ran fine going to work this morning came out at lunch time and engine maintenance light stayed on after start-up. 3 cycle of ignition switch method displays these codes p0308 pretty sure this one is no 8 cylinder missfire p2299 what the heck is this one www.obdii.com does not list this code in its search engine. got home from work to late to call dealer for service appt. happy camping. ldpoos@nopants.juno.com remove nopants to reply by direct e-mail; 2003 dodge 1500 qc sb hemi a/t tow package 3.92 gears 11 mpg towing 2001 aerolite 21rdb 21ft tt scales 2900 dry have a nice day. ldpoos@nopants.juno.com remove nopants to reply by direct e-mail; support the right to privacy and anti-spam projects. .

if threads are clean white loctite thread sealant - theres two both will work dandy in any automotive threads. one is extra high heat for cyl head fittings or exhaust bolts but other is better for later on taking stuff apart if not super hot location. and not the one with teflon doesnt actually fully lock it. i am installing a bunch of 1/8 npt fittings into an engine 26 year old onan dje generator. i would like to make sure that no matter what the engine oil sealed off by the fittings does not spill. should i use teflon tape which is a hassle or is there some nice compound that i can put on threads thanks i .
