Q: take it back to the dealer and get it fixed it should stop buzzing when you put the seat belt on. im curious - are they now designing things so you cant just pull the buzzer i always do that first thing and i wont even drive to the end of my driveway without my seatbelt partly as a matter of principal and partly because there are a lot of reasons for having the key in and on accessory with your seatbelt unbuckled and/or the door open. ive seen a lot of mention of the problems with disabling the buzzer lately and wondered had it been made more difficult ken w hi there- does anyone know how to eliminate the annoying seal belt reminder in mt new 2004 dodge quad cab truck it has a automatic and the hemi - any help is much appreciated .

1999 dodge ram 1500 4w/d one day the driving/fog lights worked the next day they didnt. the bulbs looked great so i checked the relays and fuse. all good! i got a wire probe to check for current. the odd thing is that both wires going to the bulb is hot! ideas when i installed the kit for fog lights in my old 2001 ram it was hot all the time and the switch applied a ground to turn the bulb on. they make one cut under the dash board near the left side drivers firewall and another in the engine compartment near the fuse box and a little below and towards the front of the truck. at that point is where you should see a spliced inline ground wire and it should be screwed into the frame. if that worked loose or broke your lights wont work.....same thing if the switch went bad too. if the fuse blows the hot wire feeding the lights has shorted somewhere but that isnt your problem. check for a loose ground. -- moparman----remove clothes to reply... scud coordinates latitude 32.61208 degrees north longitude 96.92995 degrees west depth 17.35 inches .

so i just got an estimate to replace both universal joints and the wheel bearing hub assemblies in the front of my 1997 dodge ram 1500. i agree that i need this work the wheel bearings are shot and unfortunately sealed. whats worse they cant be seperated from the front assembly. anyhow the guys says $2200 to have this work done. does this seem excessive to anyone i feel like im being taken for a ride.... after market hubs are about $200 plus the u-joints plus 3-4 hours labor. bring it over ill do it for $1000! greg .

bruce wrote both of my 5.9l engines leak oil from somewhere in the rear of the engine which drips onto the exhaust manifolds and transmission bell housings. intake manifold gaskets or what thanks bruce if it drips on the exhaust manifolds its probably the valve covers. clean the engine really well with a quality degreaser and some hot water. let it sit until completly dry. then spread flour around the suspect areas. run the engien for a while. look for the discolored flour to pinpoint the leak. -- ..bob 97 h-d fxdwg - turbocharged!! 01 dakota quad sport 5.9/auto/4x4 83 gmc jimmy beater 66 427sc cobra replica - project 66 mustang coupe - daily driver -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .

hi all - i know i know this is dodge trucks but there seems to be a number of transmission knowledgeable people here........ my 94 acclaim 2.5 liter and 3 speed automatic tranny has only 45k easy miles on it and a few days ago the transmission began doing a weird thing. this only happens when you first start it and drive away. the tranny shifts fine from 1st to 2nd. then when it should shift to 3rd it acts just like it went into neutral. i take my foot off the gas and manually shift down to 2nd and then back to 3rd and then it shifts fine. from there on it shifts perfect in any gear including kickdowns. you can park it for a while and it is still fine. however if it is parked for several hours it does the neutral thing again. but only once and then its fine. is this a major problem or does it need something simple like a fluid/filter change by the way i changed the fluid/filter 2 years ago when it had 20k miles on it. thanks in advance........ .

in some states a 3500 must have a commercial plate. you insurance will be a lot higher with commercial plates. and in some states any pickup used for hauling is required to have commercial plates. you will also see not for hire on any number of 2500 and heavier tow vehicles which means they dont need commercial plates or the commercial insurance since you are not in business thats true as long as the poster isnt in the horse business now that being said i see most of the not for hire signs on race car haulers. logically speaking if you are going to a race for prize money doesnt that mean yo are in business if you were running for a trophy then it would be a hobby i also see the not for hire signs on trucks hauling rv trailers and thats pretty much personal you will also find that the weight of the truck and loaded trailer in some states will dictate which kind of plates you buy. there are also states where if you have a pickup bed on a f450 or f550 or heavier tow vehicls you dont have to stop at the scales.no matter what weight it is hauling the point being every state is different and it is wise to check your state law before you buy politics the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich. .
