i was looking at the scotty iii. i did not do a thorough read through but is the scotty iii all that is needed or do i have to purchase extra parts such as the hoses that are shown purchasing the scotty iii comes complete for setup the scotty 3 is all you need - its a direct replacement for the stock airbox. that other hose they show is nice as it eliminates the baffled stock intake hose which is designed for noise suppression not necessarily optimum airflow but its certainly not required. .

well i guess il leave it in.. i am only going to put the motor in paint and sell it...so it miht be easier to sell thanx all those are typically rock solid engines and not terribly bad on economy. i had a d100 that was abused for nearly 300k and was still going strong and not buring a drop of oil when i sold it. -- ---------------------------- -chris 05 ctd 06 liberty crd real trucks dont need spark plugs. is it really good .. i havent driven it.. the motor is screwed but came with one with 60000miles on it..i thought go v8 but if the tower of power lmfao is the way to go.. then so be it.. maybe shell be better on gas too. i would keep the leaning tower of power. -- ---------------------------- -chris 05 ctd 06 liberty crd real trucks dont need spark plugs. or should i just leave the slant six in it ... lol i traded for a 1984 body converted to 91 diesel 4 spd slant six 4x4 shortbox. will the transmissions bellhousing be swapable to the v8 .. i wanna place a 318 in it but was not sure if the slant 6 setup with 4 spd could be done. i have heard 4spd/5spd trannys have removable bell housings but that was only chev and ford. .

does anyone have any experience with either the cold air intake or the full flow muffler any positives any negatives. in general youll notice slightly lower egts and a little faster spool-up of the turbo - both good things. i would recommend you look at the scotty ram air 3 intake. i used to run this on my truck had to get rid of it when i went to different turbos unfortunately - i really liked that intake. its available from diesel power products http//www.dieselpowerproducts.com/air1 the two-stage foam filter that the scotty uses offers better filtration than the cotton-gauze type filters of most other intakes. thanks for the info. i will take a look at the site. i was looking at the scotty iii. i did not do a thorough read through but is the scotty iii all that is needed or do i have to purchase extra parts such as the hoses that are shown purchasing the scotty iii comes complete for setup .
